I would be dishonest, but only one movie has really the energy of coming of age and inspiration in it that has come up in these years which i hail as 'an emotional masterpiece'. Wonder(2017) Directed by Stephen Chbosky and starring Jacob tremblay, Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson. It might be the only one that is equal to John Hughes' coming of age films in the 80's. Also, really respect him as a director and a writer.

i always loved that she chose to be alone , that the girl everyone wants not only doesn't get the guy in the end, but doesn't WANT a relationship -- that was revoluitonary to my teenage brain! And it felt kinda cool that Watts points out Keiths' blindness to how awesome she is! Just a great movie all around and a favorite.

KG2018 I’ve mostly read Stoltz was considered annoying because he was a method actor and always wanted to remain in character. Also he wasn’t a comedian and didn’t have the right comedic timing for the role of Marty... he played it too dramatically. They also knew within the first few weeks of filming they were going to have to replace him because of this. But my view of him hasn’t changed... still love him. Still underrated.

When I was a kid in the late 80s and early 90's my oldest sister used to make me watch these movies. Me being a kid thought they were pish. Now am 43yrs young and I watch these glorious masterpieces with my kids and now I get it. John Hughes was a revolutionary at filmmaking especially to do with teenage angst.

Several years ago I watched a special on John Hughes. They were showing a montage of clips from his films, including Watts walking down the street in tears and cutting away. Out of context that is really f'ed up and broke my heart for years as I never knew the name of the movie. So glad my friend showed this to me last night. I can rest easy now.

The feelings in the movie is so realistic and it was real way back then. First love, first kiss… wow! What a time. This classic feelings will always be a beautiful memory. I’m glad I was born in that era.

I love this movie! A lot of the movies in the 80s bring a joy to my heart because of all the memories being young everyone still around family friends, and their family. It was the times. I'll never (we'll) never get the same feelings we had back then. I'm not sure if I would not all was great time, but 8t still there in my hart and mind. Lol to deep for most would say. Lol I have some of those movies on vhs (what!) I'm a memory pack rat! This one is my ps3 too. I don't watch them anymore it me to remember somethings,sometimes, someone. I f you read this.
