Just a heads up, Lana'thel has been patched. Essence of the Blood Queen now lasts 75 seconds in 10-man.

@sTyLnK the bite action bar usually only pops up during the last 10 seconds of the vampiric bite buff, so you have to hustle :)

Yup, you can also use mouseover macros to cast heals but I do not know how to do those, but all you do is left click and heal left click and heal

@Hosislo You want to bite someone BEFORE the buff ends, because you will get mind controlled and will have to be killed. When the buff has a few seconds left, it will change your action bar so that you can only use one ability, which is Bite. You target someone then use said ability to buy yourself more time with the buff.

@VegasBilgeRat Fair point, but remember these are recorded from a specific point of view and at the time these are recorded, the person whose view we are watching needs to be watching what they need to be watching. The blood prince guide wouldnt be very good if we saw it only from the hunter on beachball duty 's POV.

sorry i didnt really understand that vampiric bite, you can use it as an ability on someone else..? or do you have to hug someone like in frost giant encounter (possible weekly)

What I'm still curious about is if the vampire effect persists through death or not opening up the possibility of shenanigans involving letting one die and then abusing battle rezzes or soul stones.

So a question i have, is we just did our blood queen and the moment she landed i ran at her, bit our warlock along the way, and was about 5 feet from her and 4 red blobs flew off me and all but the lock died. I'll point out she WAS on the ground when I ran at her, so thats what confuses me, I don't think it was a blood bolt, but I'm not sure.

I know you probally get a lot of questions about your UI but what is the thing where it shows the picture of Prayer of Mending and Circle or healing when the CD is up. That seems to be very useful for healing heck for any role. If anyone knows I would highly appricate it.

my guild hasnt gotten to the queen yet but we have taken down first 4, fester,rot, dreamwalker, and we just got to the council our first time 3 days ago. prob this week or next week we will have the council down and we will move over to the queen. how much reg 10m icc buffed (+15% buff) dps do u think u should average if you are going to dps this? like wat is the min average dps your group should do for the fight? and do u think we should do a dif boss before the Queen? love the vids!

@666blackdem0nz when ciderhelm narrates the fights, he explains that although its called tankspot's guide, it's fine to be used by all members of a raid. ergo, they'll have more than just the tank filming :D

could somebody explain the "biting ability" where people have to make sure they bite somebody or they'll be mced in 15secs? how do you bite your raid group member?

How exactly do u bite another player, all i know is that the 2nd highest threat without tank debuff ( so dps ) gets the vampire bite but when and how do u pass the bite to another player.

With the debuff Shroud of Sorrow--the shadow damage one--mentioned at the beginning, does unavoidable mean that the damage can't be reduced by things such as shadow resistance? Also, she talks about raid members with Essence of the BloodQueen biting other players, how do you do that?

Why did you just have two groups and have ranged stack in one group and then melee in another this would have helped with both debuffs just make sure that the middle is still open? Asking this question because we are getting ready to progress in this wing.

another thing, how does vampiric bite work, anyone know? they get a buff for 50 seconds that increases damage by 100% and heals for 15% of that.. but how do you choose who gets it like she said "idealy set up in order ahead of time" and how you have to pass it on so you dont get MC'd and have to be killed, anyone know, or know of a place i can read up on it

The bite (de)buff actually lasts 75 seconds. After that you gain Frenzied Bloodthirst which lasts 15 seconds, period in which you have to bite another player. As far as I know this was not changed through any patch from 50 to 75 seconds.

one question .. if the author even answers ... when someone has the Vampiric Embrace debuff ... when they bite someone else the person who has BITEN stays with the 100% damage buff AND gives it to someone else ... or the person just gives away the buff ... and if the person who has biten can or cannot be biten once again. I tried this fight for the first time last night and while I did have an idea, when it was my turn to bite someone I got very confused. Why? Because I was getting no action bar and that threw me off. DIdn't realize one popped up. Now that I realize this, how do I get it to work? I am using dominoes and every other action bar seems to pop up. IE in vehicles, riding mounts etc. Why not this one? Any ideas?

The first infection is random. After that, who you infect is up to you.

i suggest using hero at the start because raid dmg is the most intense or u can even use hero at the first 3 bitten dps

One piece of advice that I see other "how to" videos utilize is stopping the camera and using annotations to help explain certain key abilties in the encounter. Also, cute voice.

@ZomgPHAIL When your buff times out, the buttons on your action bar disappear and the only usable ability left is bite. Just target the raid member you want to bite, run up to them, and hit the button.

the first person 2 get the bite is the healer or dps with the highest threat so ur one of ur highest dps will get it or u tank healer will we had a pali use righeous fury at 7sec conc and exerciosm and that gives me 70% threat within 15sec and the buff makes u generate no threat so it will go away

It seems like you have 50 seconds with the buff, then you get a debuff that lasts 10 second in which your bar changes and has the biting ability. You then have 10 seconds to bite someone with that ability before you get MC'd.

Strupp, as she said In the video, the boss floats up above the raid and cc's everyone. While the boss is in the air, he shoots bloodbolts at everyone in the raid, the damage being higher the closer you are to others, so if you stacked behind the boss, the raid would just be 1-shotted.

It's pretty hard to not get a second bloodbolt whirl without 5 dps that are all amazing. And what sucks is the second one comes right as the second wave of vampires' debuff is falling off. It's like 1. Debuff hits 1 second. 2. Fear. 3. Gotta stay spread out, but if you do you gt MC'd.

@Satch7699 the first bite will be on the dps that pulls the most aggro, the next bite, if its not alrdy on, should go to your highest dps, then down the ladder until all the dps have been bitten, then to the heals, and tanks, hopfully you don't get that far.

We've basically made it a requirement to watch ciderhelm videos before you're allowed to join the raid in our guild. That way, we don't have to have 10 minute breaks before each boss to explain tictacs.

They are also on a Test Server.... it doesnt matter who gets what loot. You can buy it all at a vendor and wear it to the raids no problem.
