At the end, so true. With any creation, the artist/creator is so judgmental of their own work, because it might not be exactly what they envisioned. A band noticing every lil thing that goes wrong, the artist who knows where every lil "mistake" is on their painting, etc... but the audience is enjoying it! Others aren't noticing! And! Even if there is a noticeable fuck up, people are actually pretty cool. Audiences might have a chuckle if a band member started a little early, or started playing the wrong song, because deep down, fans know they're only human, and even a fuck up can make the show a more unique experience. It's all love, man.
@almanar_official18 күн бұрын
100%. I saw Sleep Token in the beginning of november and their guitarist was sick so he couldn't play. Instead of canceling the show which probably a lot of bands would do, they just played the whole show using backing tracks from rehearsals and if you weren't thinking of their guitarist, you couldn't see any difference from a normal show (apart from the fact that he wasn't on stage of course). The show was still incredible and the best I've ever seen in my life, and I was happy because I knew that this show was unique and it probably won't happen again. This shows how respectful bands are when they care about their fans and want to do as much as they can to satisfy everyone
@tay1366618 күн бұрын
It's like the one time I saw Red back in 2011. Their guitarist couldn't play for one reason or another so his guitar tech filled in. I'd never heard them live so I don't know what they thought, but I thought the show and performance was awesome.

I was at this show, pretty much front row. It was a blast and I would argue EC stole the festival. Their set was amazing. Seeing how professional you all were backstage when you were clearly under the pump is such a juxtaposition to the vibe/fun that was had as an audience member. It just proves how amazing you all are. Thank you for doing what you all did. Also, the 6pm audio curfew is because it’s drop bear mating season in Australia and loud music after 6pm makes them angrier/more dangerous.

41:45 My favorite saying when performing on stages goes something like this. "For every 5 mistakes you make you will notice every single one, the band/crew will notice three, the trained ear in the crowd might hear one, everyone else didn't hear a damn thing." Ian, first of all: I LOVE this series ❤ It is so interesting to see the things nobody besides you guys see and I really hope that you will continue to show us the BTS stuff even though it is tough to do your job and ON TOP of that film and edit. I just wrote you an email so if you ever need help regarding the filming or editing process, reach out and I will happily help/assist/whatever. One thing I did ask myself after the news broke out that Frank would be playing the show: Why wasn’t it an option that Grizzly (David‘s drum tech) would fill in to replace David? I mean, if someone knows the band, the setlist, everything, it would be him right? I‘m a drummer since the age of 15 (1993) and if someone would tell me „You have 5 hours to learn the complete setlist of songs cause you will be headlining a festival“ I instantly would run away fast! And I HATE running 😂 Thanks for this great episode, keep up the great work Sir, I really appreciate! All the best from Germany 🇩🇪, Philipp
