Slight correction... At 09:11 when I was telling the story about a show in Florida and someone in chat told me it was Jannus Landing, it was actually not. It was an old venue called Stadium Green Iguana in Tampa, FL that no longer exists.

I got to meet those dudes at a meet n greet in memphis tn. (This was mid 2000's). Local radio was saying : Go to this Cafe at this time and meet Papa Roach. Not a soul in site but the band members. Got to play a few games of pool with them, then went to the show. Pretty ok dudes from what I remember.

@@JibblesBeJibbin Great story! Can confirm. We opened for Papa Roach in May of 2000, right as Last Resort was blowing up. They said they were only getting paid $200 for the show because it was booked before blowing up. Awesome dudes all around!

Papa Roach was booked to play the big county fair here, back in like 2009/2010 and before the show they went in to my friend’s family’s Mexican restaurant and they were super nice, loved the food, and gave all the staff free tickets to the show that night.

Yeah that whole band is solid dudes. Before they blew up with Infest I used to talk to them all the time...they used to love just hanging out in genpop after they got done playing and would shoot the sh_t with the fans and would remember people they saw at multiple shows. I'm in Sacramento (Where Tank ended that tour..haha I was probably at that show!) so they used to play here a lot.

Great story Tank and me and you have something in common. I'm only a year older than you, but I got fired from a job around the same time due to having a drinking problem. It felt like my world fell apart, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise. These days I'm completely sober and I'm in two bands, one of them being a band I was a fan of since I was 17 and I have to pinch myself that I'm actually doing vocals for them. Love the channel and these stories, glad you are doing well. All the best mate.

It wouldn't surprise me if the conversation with the guitar tech was like: "Did you see tank check my gear?" "I don't know, I was doing my own thing..." "So you didn't see him do it?" "No, I guess I didn't, but-" and then nothing you say after that matters. I have been put in those situations before. It's like being railroaded.

It's really heartwarming that Red was invited to your wedding - I love that! It's also pretty awesome for you not to let the band take the blame for you doing everything and not getting paid as well as Mr Guitar Tech. It must have been so exciting to learn all that, at least at first! I am very curious to know how all that learning meant doodly squat when you were working for Nickelback. Was the gear different, or was it that they had very different routines?

Had the same scenario happen a few years. Was doing about 4 jobs, direct support on an arena tour in a van, headliner had multiple busses and 2-18 wheelers for production while we had 4 band members and two of us as crew driving and doing every everything. Two months on the road and never missing a show. Certain band members cried when the lead singer let us go. Literally the final night at a sold out show in LA because they got significantly bigger in that time period, he decided he wanted new people and our bags were outside the van without a plane ticket home. Final pay will be deposited in two weeks

Tank. First, love these Roadie stories. It's what got me started watching you, back in the day. I did it back in the 80s. So I relate. Now. I have been a You Tubers for 7 years. I picked the wrong genre. So I'm not that big but I am one of the top ones in my little part of You Tube. 😂 So my advice to you about looking at the camera during your Twitch streams. DON'T!!!!! It's become your style and it WORKS. From the beginning, I got what you are doing. And this is how much I stand on this hill for you. I have recently started to do reaction type and style of videos. And you influenced me in NOT looking at the camera, but looking at the screen. And these are becoming some of my top watched videos. And my regular viewers love it. So with that said. I totally stole that from you and Thanks! DON'T CHANGE IT!!

Man...I was following Red pretty seriously at that point, and because of so many shows in Southern California and Arizona I was able to meet you and see you doing tech and merch the whole time you were with them. I was at the Epicenter show in 2011. It was my last concert before moving to Ohio, and after seeing you guys so often, it just felt like things were off. It's so interesting to finally know the story of why you left. I don't listen to them anymore or even follow what's going on with them. I was lucky enough to be friends with Hayden on Facebook so I knew of his passing. The guys were nice and kind to all the fans, but you and Joe were always the standouts for me. Even when you were running around doing 50 million things, you always took time to say hello or give a minute of your time to any of us who wanted to chat or even take a picture, and I was so sad when things changed. Then I ended up randomly finding you on here back when you had maybe 2,000 followers, and it was great. I love that you're the same guy I knew you as way back then, but that life has gotten so much better for you. Thanks for unknowingly making an impact all those years ago on a girl who was going through some pretty rough stuff. Wishing you and your beautiful family all the best!

They were a VERY big band and I'd gone out to the bar to bring back a tote full of ice and alcohol and I had passed their singer a beer but failed to open it for him. He insulted me for being a crap roadie and I told him to f-off and while I was a roadie I was not HIS roadie and he could open his own damn beer. My band panicked and I was told to apologize to him after our set. I apologized and promised to be sure to show proper reverance when in his presence in the future. Next stop was Kansas City, but my band dropped me off at the airport instead. I still got paid, so fukem!
