Fun fact- you can buy these same headphones for $19.99. under the brand MG, Musicians Gear MG900 Studio Headphones. Many electronic devices are made in China and then they take orders to have different brand names applied to them and this is one of those cases. Compare the details and spec's on both and the only difference between these two brand names is the price, the headphones are the same. In either case there is NO comparison to the ATH-M50 headphones they are in another league altogether. But another step up in as-far-as top end studio monitors go, look into comparing the Sennheiser HD600 and HD650 models.

Like the review, you gave us some real-world listening benchmarks. Have you compared the Audio Technica ATH-M50x to Sony's MDR headphones, MDR V6 or the MDR 7506. Would be interesting to know your thoughts. Thanks for making a great content.

My audio-technica had fallen apart in sense of materials, synthetic leather just start to cheep off from everywhere even on carry bag that included and that was at the shelf all the time (even didn't use, just literally deteriorated).... never will buy again.

What is this review about? This is unpacking and not a review. The sound in the clip is recorded on the microphone of the camera. I can’t trust the opinion of the person who writes the sound of such poor quality.

This isn't so much a review, as it is a head to head comparison of these two headphones. It's nearly impossible to demonstrate the sound quality of headphones on a KZbin video, so my description of the sound quality and build quality are the only ways I know how to convey this. I'm sorry you didn't like the content, but please let me know if there's anything special you'd like to know about these two headphones.

@@tjkcivic At the moment, I am thinking of buying the TX-200 on Amazon. But as usual, there are very different comments in the range of 1-5 stars. Some write about poor assembly, while others about great. Some write about the lack of high frequencies, while others about the ideal amplitude-frequency response. I expected to hear the opinion about the sound, and it makes no sense to compare the build quality for $ 50 and $ 150. Nevertheless, it is better to write sound on a lavalier microphone or a separate recorder.

Hey Konstantin, Thanks for your comments. I'm just starting my channel, so i appreciate the feedback. I understand that comparing a $100 pair and a $150 pair of headphones is a little hard to do fully, but that comparison was a specific request from a subscriber. Plus, these are the only two studio sets i have at the moment. I would urge you to lean toward the Audio Technica set if you can swing the extra money, i have seen the ATH-50x pair used on Reverb for less than $100, so deals are out there. But the Tascam set is a good value, and high quality, just not as good a value or high of quality as the Audio Technica set. Thanks!

I thought it was a really good comparison. I like how you used recordings we can go find and listen to to get an understanding of what you are listening to, a very wide range of content. Also many will give you all the specs in the world and you still do not know what the take away is.
