Thanks for a great review. I was on the fence because they were on sale for $40. from $150. Didn’t know if they’re just marked up really high to make you think you’re getting a steal of a deal. What are your thoughts on the Tascam 300x vs Audio-Technica ATH-M20X $50?

A year later I’m here because they’re on stupid deal of the day ,today for $39.99…..they claim normally they sell for $149.99, but no one sells them for more than $59.99 that I can find . Still $20 off is nice ….I just was wondering if worth it when I already have two Sony sets (mdrv6 &mdr 7506) that are pretty great…I’ve only ever used the mdrv6’s since the early 1990’s (just for personal music listening ) till last year when I grabbed the 7506’s cause the v6’s were very old tech…I assumed there’d be some huge upgrade in em, But they sound more or less the same hehe….so just started your review in hopes these cheapies are even slightly worth it ….so I’m off to finish the review now .

Maybe I’m wrong but I’d think the headband being sewn on the outer edge would be better for comfort ,though admittedly it’d probably be a very slight increase..meaning it’s more of a function design over a looks design ….?

Thanks for your comments, Vic. I personally can't tell whether the stitching is on the inside or outside when they're on my head, but it more of a style point. These are well worth the $40 you can find them on sale for, but you're totally right that $150 is too much. Hopefully this review helped! Thanks.

idk what the other headphones sound like, but I just tested Tascam TH-300X - garbage: Very very Muddy lows and icky tinty metallic highs- yes I went for the Stupid deal of the day... fool me once, never again. idk if you can hear as your mic / recording are nasty too. Nothing personal, keeping it real. They got me with greed-guilty, that is why they are selling for $40 and not $150.
