Hi Dominque, as I Professional Spray Tan Artist I Loved this video and your suggestions. I can not spray tan myself easily, I usually am in my back yard with my tent trying to be a contortionist to get all the areas. I have tried several of these products and I love the mousse brands the best. I also recommend the same tanning drops for the face as spraying sometimes comes out spotty if someone squints or scrunch up their nose. I can blend it out but spray solution is different and gets into the skin fast and the solution is drying to the skin. The drops with the moisturizer is wonderful and if you are someone who is older and have dry and/or wrinkled or sagging a little in some area’s the drops are a blessing. You don’t have to have a perfect 20 year old body to show some skin and your video was great for all of us over 45 to still have that glow safely without hrs in the damaging sun. Thanks for sharing 😉

I see a myriad of self tanners online and in the stores but hesitant to purchase because of…number one…like you said that awful smell, funky colors, etc. You are our go-to person. Unafraid to jump in and give us all the good, the bad, and the ugly about products! I think you need to patent that back tanner applicator idea! Genius! 💡 You are so beautiful and your energy is contagious! So thankful that you give younger ladies an alternative to dangerous tanning methods! May is Melanoma cancer awareness month!!! I use all of these products as well quick tan by Body drench is actually my favorite along with the spray by b.tan. I find that the sprays absorb into my skin where the mousse is a little too water-based and my skin can only absorb so much so I always have to do two or more layers. If you let yourself to air dry for roughly 5 minutes between the spray ones you can actually give yourself a pretty nice dark tan. I find that quick tan actually does stay whatever color you spray on your body fairly well and within an hour or so. My trick since I do use all of the same products and I mean all moose included, is to get a continuous spray bottle and mix all of them together in one spray bottle. That way you have the 11-day formula from b.tan mixed with the instant bronzing from body drench etc. I also apply with just regular latex gloves and rub it in versus using a mitt I feel the mit absorbs too much of the color. I do use a mitt to apply it to my back I just have to do two or three more layers to get it to the same darkness as when I just rubbed it into my skin with a latex gloves. Trust the process with the latex gloves but I do end up using less product and get a darker result

Great video Dominique - just love the scrub brush hack for the back, genius! Two questions: 1) How does your facial skin care work with the self tan? I always avoid tanning my face thinking it will mess with my skincare. 2) With the sprays, how do you avoid it going everywhere and staining everything in your bathroom?

I’m curious about this as well. I use self tanner on my face but also have a pretty aggressive daily skin care routine. I notice my “tan” seems to disappear after my nightly skin care routine. I can see it on my cotton pads and washcloth. I have to reapply tanner daily…kind of a pain.

I’m late to the party but wanted to share that for several years I have been using L’Oréal Sublime Bronze mixed with my body lotion. One squirt of tanner to one pump of lotion…mix together between palms and then apply like I’m applying lotion. It makes a very natural looking tan and I do it about twice a week. It makes just the right of color for my skin and I get compliments frequently. Thank you, Dominique, for all of your wonderful tips! 🥰

Dominique 🧡 I adore you and I know you don’t mind my extra skin love. I tell my clients to be very mindful of applying any self tanners to your face. A good selfless tanner will work with your melanin naturally. If it does it will actually make Melasma and age spots darker. If you use one that simply stains it will do the same. We also see break outs and issues with fungal activity. Stick to the body. Try to use a powder bronzer on the face or just love your natural color. Also DHA use to be more chemically derived, so yes use a natural or organic formula and read the label. As women we don’t need any more chemicals on or in our bodies. Blessings and Happy Mother’s Day Dominique and everyone 🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa

What a great video! I love the mitt over the brush hack. I never wanted to do them, because my husband wasn't around when I was doing it and then I didn't want to mess with the back later. Question? Do you find any dark marks on your body are magnified when you use this, such as hyperpigmentation. Suggestion for a future video. Great tutorial and love that you showed several brands! One thing i rarely hear people mention is its best to do tanner at night, sleep, rinse in am. Wearing it during day risk sweating it off in weird ways, clothes transfer, and smell (even though risk for smell & transfer is lower than in past- it still happens). I sleep with very light weight thin long sleeve tshirt and long light pant so nothing gets on my bedding. Good lesson for getting back. They also sell reachers for back with foam on it for putting on lotion to your back- but love your idea even better!

I should definitely do this! When I was young, I did not tan evenly and considering that I have light, Irish skin that I got from my father, I burn easily. These products definitely appear to be better than the instant tanning product that was available to us when I was a teenager! It was called QT which stood for Quick Tan, and it stank to high Heaven! And if you didn’t immediately wash this stuff off of your hands, they would be a nasty shade of blotchy orange, especially in the creases!

You will still get the hands if you don’t (immefiately) get it off them. Ive not had a mitt and used my hands. Washed them when i was done with soap but still turned orange since my hands were dry. However, now in my 50’s I’m seeing sun spots and freckles appearing on my skin and I know it’s from my many years of sun exposure (hate to say with no protection). So as of a few years ago, I started using self tanners and b.tan is one that really shows up well even on my olive skin tone, and gives me a great tanned glow. Great demonstration by the way. I love the care and consideration of your skin that you do. You always look wonderful. For me, tans are unattractive. Guess over the years I associate tabs with skin damage so even the look of a tan doesn't rock with me. Love so much of what you share, though!

thank you! i used to go to the box for a tan, and the lotions were SO EXPENSIVE and this was like 20 years ago. I did have a great tan, however it was so damaging to my skin. When your young you tend to think you will live forever lol.

Dominique, once again you read my mind and made my wish come true. I wanted to write and ask a brand new video on self tanners from you and BAM!!… here you are talking and demoing about that, you are the best!! Your timing is always perfect and you know exactly what we are interested in, merci beaucoup!! I agree with you, self tan products have come a long way when it comes to the icky scent they left on the skin, ugh! I just canNOT deal with this smell. Which products in your selection does not have that unpleasant residual odor or have the nicest scent? Best wishes to you and your family.❤️😍😉

Thanks for doing this for us, very helpful tips. Just bought Body Drench and was a bit anxious about doing it. Feeling more confident now! Wondered about application to my back. Great tip. Wondering how you adjust your foundation after tanning your face? Happy Mother's Day to you and your Mom

Love this video thankyou Dominque. I've always been a sun worshiper. The last few years I've protected my skin & tried tinted moisturisers but Bern scared to use self tanning products...im definately going to give it a go now. A tan always made me feel better x

Having been diagnosed with skin cancer 1.5 years ago....a mole on my leg was cancerous and unfortunately caused cancer in other places. I was an avid sun bather and adored tanning booths. Now my tan is all out of a bottle. This video was useful to see products I've never tried and ones that I own, and indeed use regularly

Hi Dominique I bought the QUICK TAN with the mitt from AMAZON and I love it!! I spray the tanner on the mitt first which is a100% better more natural application than spraying my skin!!❤

If you like a tan self tanning is the way to go. I just had biopsies on my nose from sunburn in my younger years. I have a lot of age spots and self tanning would only emphasis them so sadly cannot do it.

Thank you Dominique. Very helpful guide and tips! I'm hoping you'll do a video on posture. For beginners, aged (I'm 64 ) young, etc. one can have beautiful hair, skin clothes but if your posture sucks it's not pretty. Thanks for considering (?) 👏🤗
