When you talked about hearing Hindi words and not seeing them in the subtitles, it's because the subtitles have words that make you understand the thing in a better way. In your case, you heard "Ladki", but in the movie , the woman says "Ladke" which means "Boys". In the movie, the woman said "Ladke Wale", if they had put the exact translation, it would've sounded completely different like this "People with boys". In hindi, "Ladke wale" means people from groom's side, so that sums it up :D. Hope you understood lol

The subtitles and her saying larki at the start is not because of mistranslation. It's because "larkay walay" means the family of the groom. So she actually said larkay not larki. The subtitles said "groom's family" which was correct actually.
