Yes, "Datto" is a nickname for Kusum. Also she has that nickname because of her big teeth. ( Daant means Teeth and in rural areas mostly people nickname others with their physical attributes. My cousin is called Kaalu because he has dark complexion)...

The costume at the wedding was Gujrati. It was a Punjabii-Gujrati wedding where all sardars(Punjabis) were wearing Gujrati outfit and doing garba (Gujrati dance form). It was too funny in itself because the fusion was so wierd to think about 😂

She didn't use her husband's sperm probably because of the stigma associated with artifical insemination. Remember when she said how men measure their manhood by their sperm count? Also, if word got out that they're looking into IVF, her husband would be embarassed infront of the family and made to feel like he's less of a man. In a lot of Indian families, one person's problem is everyone's problem, word would get out and the whole community would end up knowing and whispering behind their backs. People aren't sensitive at all to each others feelings. Ofcourse it all depends on which region you're from, whether you're from a rural region steeped in regressive traditions or in an urban area where you can get away with this stuff (I say "get away", because I don't want to give city people the credit of being open minded, a lot of them sljust pretend).

😂🤣 Ha ha lol I love when westerners get confused with India's multicultural society their rituals and issues So lets be clear, Our male protagonist is from Delhi but culturally he is playing a role of a North Indian guy probably from Uttrakhand and his Sikh friend is from Punjab of course and his wife is from Bihar and our main female protagonist is from Uttar Pradesh and our Second female protagonist is from Haryana she is a pure "Jaat", so try to notice there is so much in-depth cultural diversity but all have one common problem love and marriage😂🤣...I mean 🤔 for westerners they will find it not comical at all but only Indians can truly relate with it...Punjabis and delhits are very fun loving people while their neighbor haryana Jaats are little aggressive but sports loving people, while Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are like Twin poetic sisters...man I love my fellow Indians...I specially love the characters played R.Madhavan Eijaz Khan Jimmy shergill and Zeeshan Ayub...
