Actually the use of exploding projectiles (like there, but not the "Rods from God") were addressed in the Hague convention of 1899. That convention also banned the use of "dum-dum" rounds by the military forces of signatory nations. The United States was not a signatory to that convention.

I think the reason most people think washing off the gel wouldn't work is because stuff like Jell-o and cheese just turn to goop when you get them wet and without you saying and now proving you can just wash it off I would probably assume that too since I have zero hands-on experience with the stuff. very impressive but I would suggest using dowel pins which are solid steel instead of being hollow like roll pins, this would add a little weight and likely make the pins travel farther through the target. This would make a perfect self defense round, you get expansion and fragmentation while also getting the right amount of penetration without too much over-penetration. I can see this being a commercially made shell.
@chadh3441
@chadh3441 Ай бұрын
The advantage of hollow pins would probably be great for soft tissue, because the pins act like an apple core remover. It would be an interesting test to see. Solid pins would probably be great for bear hunting or for situations where solid objects are present. i. e. Skulls, doors, etc..

"Hi I am a know-it-all ignorant commenter that doesn't even remember what youtube used to be about because I just got here yesterday, let me tell you how to run your channel so you can completely lose the point and become a soulless surgical adherent to the algorithm and my personal preferences" Pretty sure all the real fans are here for whatever the hell Jeff wants to do on his time and his budget, not some hyper optimized grandiose idea of what YT content is "supposed" to be It was always supposed to be your next door neighbor's channel, not some high concept prime time piece. Some people man...

Agree!!! A lame attempt at armchair quarterbacking. The channel has -zero- content and (wait for it).....1 (one) subscriber.

@@g54b95 I take particular exception to the expert shooter line considering most of the people he has out to the range are more than capable of getting experimental limited supply rounds on target. Let alone the fact that it shows normal people can get results from these rounds, even not really knowing what they're going to do!

I love the slug, and the content. You do the research, so others don't have to- that is very kind, and entertaining. I love your new assistants. Zack, and Amanda bring a fun freeness to the content, whereas OfficerGreg brought stress vibes, and awkward dialogue. Excelsior!

Copper thermite would make an excellent 'booster mix' for your little gremlin rounds. Makes a bright blue-green flash, lots of orange smoke (copper vapor). The stuff is insensitive to impact and friction, so on paper it would be a bit safer than harvesting material from fireworks.
