Man, we're sorry to here that you are having to stop the unboxing episodes! My son and I really looked forward to seeing the "hand made authentic homemade" items that people would send you. We even thought about sending you some of our very own Maple Syrup made from our own Mid Michigan U.S.A. Maple trees. Not that we are looking for anyone to buy our syrup from us because only a very select few other than family ever get any syrup. Maybe we still will. Thanks for your channel and how it inspires my son, I love seeing him out in the outdoors instead of in front of a game console all day! We love catching a TA Outdoors or a TA Fishing at the end of the day! Thanks again!

I agree with many of the others, the best part of the whole series (I think I watched them all) is the great father son relationship and making something together without judgment and I love the camaraderie. I don't have kids but if I did, this is something that I would have liked to with them. I'm glad the you folks have the private land to do it on.

This is in response to the guy from Eastern Kentucky wanting to know about safety equipment. All you really need is a good current year map and an in-depth first aid kit. I find a map to be more useful because there are some areas, depending on how far into the backwoods you get, you can lose signal on your gps.

I wonder how many blokes are now secretly tricking out their garden sheds like this :) Really entertaining, interesting and inspiring stuff. Love it. Years ago I had an allotment with a shed. We weren't allowed to use hose pipes, so I put a clear plastic roof on it with a hand soldered solar panel underneath (You can buy cheap single cells but you have to wire them together). The water fed into a recycled 1000l water container. The solar panel charged a battery, which powered a caravan shower pump attached to a hose pipe. No rules broken, happy days :)

Hi Mike if the screwdriver doesn’t have any bits with don’t worry just pick up a round shank screwdriver that has a hexi bit holder at the end cut it off near the handle so it has plenty of shank left look down the barrel of the Yankee it has a step at the bottom which is easily sorted and there is a spring loaded v halfway down you fix both with hack saw and a saw file and with your injunity you’ll have it sorted in no time I did this years ago and you’ll be surprised what will fit it hope this helps J

I still have one of those pump action screwdrivers, this was well before battery powered screwdrivers were around and I got it when I was training as a carpenter, it's also called a 'Yankee' screwdriver'. Camp coffee has been around for a very long time and I think it's made in England. We used to have it over 60 years ago when my dad was in the army abroad and couldn't get proper coffee, and we used tinned condensed milk too. I watch both of your channels, so thanks for sharing.

Absolutely love your shelter, and I've enjoyed watching the whole series. One comment: If you ever do another build, you should try to stagger the joints in the siding. I see you have two studs at each joint - one to support each section of the siding. If you spread those apart evenly along the wall you can get a proper stagger on the siding just like a regular house. I bet that cabin would easily last 20 years if you can keep the weather out! Right now you have a vulnerable "channel" at each of those spots

Such a shame that big companies have to ruin the party. I completely understand your decision and they should feel ashamed for messing it up for the true fans. Maybe you could carry on, just off camera. That may deter the bigger companies knowing they aren’t going to get a shout on your channel. Keep up the good work mike and I’m loving your films at the moment Graeme. Basically free cinema once a week. I absolutely love both your channels. Cheers fellas

You could find an adapter for the drill, that will allow you to put a socket on the end, like a hex nut driver,. Then for your spindle, carve one end to fit as snuggley into the socket driver as possible, then there you go..you have your spindle..pump the drill to spin it and make your friction for the ember. A little creative thinking, and we can figure any problem out! I just love your videos..both yours and your dads, but specifically the ones you do together. My dad is no longer with me so trust me..build those memories while you still can. I understand the customs thing..totally understandable, Although I'll miss them, I wont hold it against you. Thanks for the hours of enjoyment you have given me, and for the inspiration to get out into nature more often. I think I have an old hand drill like that somewhere..maybe I'll give it a try myself just for fun. Although I have made and used bow drills before, I'm an old fart now, so I usually just use either a ferro rod, or the old trusty Bic lighter nowadays :)

I understand, but I think a huge part of your channel is the interactions with people, and losing that is pretty sad. Just don’t accept anything over a certain value without prior communication. My dad had one of those drills. And it is a manual drill. It should have a set of drill bits that originally came with it. You can use it as a screw driver. Funny story about dog treats. Hey guys love watching your videos, living in the suburbs in Australia it is difficult for myself to get outside and do some of the things you do like the bushcraft camp and pallet cabin so instead i sit back with a few snacks and watch your videos. A little project my dad and i are working on and off on is a sort of pallet bar. Not all made from pallets but the front and side are made from pallets with a timber frame and secondhand fence sheets for the roof. Still got a lot to do with it but we are both un employed so we do what we can when we can. Keep up the awesome work of producing entertaining and interesting content. If i can find a away to message you directly i am more than happy to send you some photos of the bar from the beginning to its current stage. Thanks.
