people who think tap in goals are nothing special clearly don't know how it works. there is something called off ball movement, where the attackers have to make a good run to create a chance for himself. the run of the attacker combines with the vision of the person assisting to create the goal. 1 cannot be done without the other. if the attacker doesn't make the run, then the person passing won't have anyone to pass to for his assist. similarly, if the person passing does not have a high enough vision to spot the attacker's run, the the attacker's run is meaningless

No one creates 90 percent of their chances. Even Messi scores tap-ins many times. It is very important for a team because your team can be good at passing but if it doesn't have a finisher who can position himself I the box they will struggle. Look at Barcelona, no proper striker like when Suarez was in his prime and they can't win the league.

This is something people dont understand about tapins. All people see is a clear goal with just the keeper or not in front of them., but they ignore what they did to be in that position. Football is about making goals easier not complicated. That's how you win games. Great video by the way

Tap ins are underrated because people usually watch the whole game staring only at the ball carrier. So what they see after the final pass is just a striker completely unmarked scoring an easy goal. People don't understand that for one to be unmarked inside the box they need to have great position awareness, fake runs to deceive defenders and know in anticipation where the play is probably going to before the defenders. Also, the movement of players off the ball is what facilitates the movement of the player in possession. A player alone in the final third will be overwhelmed by opposition if they're not busy marking players making runs. Also, tap ins are like the quintessensial team goals. For them to happen, everyone on the team has to coordinate movements and everyone has to play their role perfectly. The player on the ball has to make the right decision at the right time, the scoring player should be at the right place at the right time. The others have to move in order to disrupt the defence and create space for the scorer. Tap ins are beautiful because of how tactically and collectivelly coordinated they must be.
