It looks harsh but it’s actually not. Same thing with box braids or a similar style. Hair will shed of course. Only breakage would be if the customer wasnt taking care of her hair. Can’t wait to order and do this.I need a style like this that will allow my scalp to still breathe

There is no way there is no breakage. As soon as I saw the install which was beautiful. I said let's check out the removal. That metal tip enforcing the removal made this a no for me. This tape method will eventually have her hair thinning and can lead to alopecia
@loria.thurman94783 жыл бұрын
2:34 in and it's a no go for me...although I didn't see a lot of hair on the tape it reminded me of having to remove glued in tracks, which always take some of your hair; the hair at my temples still hasn't grown back and it's been 20yrs. 😬 At the end of the day I can imagine my hair thinning from this whole process. #NeverMind

@@aesinam looked like a natural amount of shedding. Some People don't realize how much a person sheds in a months time. But I agree she should have let that spray soak a little longer on the tape to brake up the adhesive more before removing.

I was all excited, thinking they were about to slide out with the solvent. Lol! Um no... I cringed as soon as she started with that comb! 😱 That's looked very harsh, and I'm sure there was a lot of ole girl's hair on that tape!😔
@brainygirl42943 жыл бұрын
I AGREE Zee Zee it looked harsh. I was hoping it would slide out but how she took it out was cringe. She's a great stylist and too cute. I would love for her to do my hair but will pass on the Tape Ins. I'm pretty sure its damaging to the volume of the hair and not necessary the length and I like thick hair. 🤷
@Antoinettemayers4 жыл бұрын
Tape ins are actually one of the least damaging types of extensions. Do your research to make sure that you are a good candidate. You should have these professionally removed unless you really know what you’re doing.

Might be easier and less damage to the hair if you soak your hair in baby oil or coconut oil overnight. Then go to the shop to let them remove it.

Spray 91% alcohol on the tape and it slides off so easy. Then spray it (your natural hair)with any hair oil and comb thru. It’s much easier and way less shedding.

The oil prevents pulling and tearing. The hair that came out was her hair shedding. Just like most hair extensions your hair is naturally shedding but it has no where to go. The stylist is combing out the hair that shedded

I have that solvent and it didn't work well to remove my tape ins installed with Duo Pro Tape. It would leave the tape in my hair. But my fine-ass Caucasian hair would just break, so no more tape ins for me! I wear a halo extension & hair topper now!
@yepi32344 жыл бұрын
Michele Proano Kressin hi what is a halo extension? Glad you found an alternative that works
@EmpressLestat4 жыл бұрын
@@yepi3234 Basically it is a series of stacked wefts sewn on top of each other and then a piece of monofilament wire is added to the front. So it looks like wefts attached to a wire. I sell Halo Couture extensions - U can go to their site and look at pics. Amazon has a lot of cheaper options too, but not as thick. They are mostly keratin coated Chinese hair. You can buy synthetic ones as well in a kinky or body wave texture. You put them on and take them off whenever. I cover mine with a hair topper to mask my thinning hair - basically a closure with clips 😊
