I was just thinking about buying one of those, but there were 13% 1-star reviews on it, and only 61% of the reviews were 5-stars. That doesn't sound like very good odds to me for $35.00. I noticed your video is also 3 years old. Has this company gotten bad over the years or changed ownership maybe? I know you can't trust everything you read review-wise, but when that many are terrible, some of whom purchased a second one that was just as bad, it doesn't sound like a very good company. What are your thoughts? Can you maybe do another video addressing some of the 1 star concerns?

It usually works it's way out. Not too many jams, but it does happen. Always go through the process... one click to grab tape and another click to staple. When it seems jammed, just click it as if you are stapling... that usually works for me

I got mine. It’s going to really come in handy to control my crazy ‘maters :-) BTW, what’s the best fertilizer to use on my wicking tub blackberries? They got knocked back a bit by freezemageddon bu they’re finally reaching for the sun!
@BIGALTX
@BIGALTX 3 жыл бұрын
If you use granular you can use any complete fertilizer like 10 -10-10 or 13-13-13. Or, you can use a water soluble fertilizer like Hoss tools 20-20-20. Try to stay away from the plants if you use the granular. Too much fertilizer can burn them. I used some of the triple 13 fertilizer about this time last year and they went crazy. Two or 3 tablespoons per plant, placed several inches away from the roots.

@@junehess501 When you start to tie them... just go slow. A 1/2 click should pick up the tape. And a full click will staple and cut the tape when it's tied. I don't remember if the tape comes threaded through the tool or not. If it is, make sure you look at it and see how it runs through the machine so you will know how to replace the tape when it runs out.

Just curious and not trying to be condescending of this video or how we tend our gardens. This seems to be an amazing tool that serves its purpose, but knowing after thousands of years of plants growing on the ground producing what it produces and surviving thousands of years unattended why string up on trellis to help it produce and stay healthy
@raymccarty4612
@raymccarty4612 3 жыл бұрын
Where space limitations are a primary concern, this tool is amazing. You can then proceed to maintain the ground easier without stepping on the fruits like those people did for thousands of years.
@BIGALTX
@BIGALTX 3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Space considerations, and keeping the fruit off the ground helps with preventing disease. I have a lot of things that are sprawling right now on the ground. Pumpkins, watermelon and things like that, but the smaller fruits do so well growing up a trellis or fence.
