I loved The Young Doctors. It was shown here in the Uk in the early 1980s every weekday afternoon around 3pm. Before that we had The Sullivans at lunchtime then a break for an hour or 2 then A Country Practice came on around 2pm, followed by The Young Doctors and right after Sons and Daughters. I used to watch all of them , I was never really a great fan of the Sullivans but I did love the other 3. We didn't own a video recorder at the time so I always made sure I was home for The Young Doctors as out of the 3 that was my favourite. My favourite character was Sister Grace Scott played splendidly by the late Cornelia Frances. I was gutted when Cornelia decided to leave and I really missed Grace. But it wasn't long before she popped up in Sons and Daughters as Barbara Armstrong, later Barbara Hamiton. I always thought Cornelia was Australian, but I later found out that she was British and was born and raised in Liverpool, my hometown. She emigrated to Australia in her early 20s. Our loss and Australia's gain. Then she played another great character Morag Bellingham in Home and Away. Grace Scott was a saint compared to Morag. I found Cornelia's autobiography on Amazon last year and of course I had to buy it. I'm glad I did as it was a great book to read and what an interesting life she led, it is now one of my prized possessions which I know I will read over and over again. RIP Cornelia and Judy. I did not know Judy had passed away too. The last time I recall seeing her on television was as Pixie Mason in Prisoner: Cell Block H. Another great favourite of mine.

@@emmyjo720 Cornelia Frances was an outstanding Actress and talent. As a 16 year old I never missed an episode of Young Doctors, and her performances were far too good for a daytime soap.I am absolutely choked watching this now, with her now no longer alive.Wont be forgotten.

Ah Cornelia Francis, an incredibly believable actress, I remember seeing her on Home and Away in the 80s, she played the role of Morag better than Morag could have played the role herself. 😂

do you mean this show or the actual Young Doctors show? because for the latter there are 2 Australian release dvds with compilations of various episodes titled 'the Best Romances' and 'the Classic Cliffhangers', unfortunately not complete season sets but better than nothing. Probably ebay Aust. would be the easiest way to get them.....

Who on earth could forget Sister Scott. That was her.Cornelia Frances was the Shadow of Glenda Jackson and could match her.
