@@thebabbler8867 I just moved here with my husband and two little kids from Baltimore county Md. I am so homesick and miss Maryland. Stop whining. Please. The business and political leaders in the Denver metro area have made a series of good decisions, in the past and, as a consequence, Denver is a good place to live. Good places to live tend to attract people -- including people who struggle, for one reason or another. Now then, nobody can predict the future, but the best predictor of future trends is past activities. Given that people in Denver tend to make more good decisions than bad ones, I have every confidence we'll eventually figure out how to deal with our most pressing issues -- including homelessness. The thing is, sometimes it takes time to figure out the right thing to do, and sometimes it takes a couple of different efforts to figure out what that right thing is. Frequently, it even takes different approaches to figure out how to unravel a problem as complex as homelessness, as well as a fair amount of money. So, either pitch in and help solve the problem; or sit down, shut up, and let the grownups run things. Jeezus.

@@domingezalfredo3100 Compared to coastal cities, Denver is much less expensive. It's one of the more expensive cities *in the Rocky Mountain region*, but that doesn't mean much compared to the coasts. That said, Denver attracts highly educated, highly skilled workers who get paid good money to do high-skill, high-demand jobs. If you want to live in Denver, get an education and learn how to do something employers willingly pay good money for. If you don't want to go to the effort and expense of getting an education, the way so many of us Denverites have, then why should you expect to live as well? You can find inexpensive places to live in the Denver Metro Area -- they're just getting harder to find in Denver, itself. You have to look north in Adams County, or out East in Aurora, or in one of the exurbs out past Aurora. The southern and western parts of the metro area -- and the residential neighborhoods in the center of the city -- have the highest prices because that's where well-paid people *want* to live. Economics. Learn some.

@thomashiggins93203 жыл бұрын
@@luismiguellopez3892 We don't have everything, but what we do have is good. For good ethnic restaurants, a city needs a sizeable population of people from that part of the world. We don't have a large Filipino population, in Denver. Most Filipinos who come to the U.S. settle on the West Coast, or Hawaii or Guam, for obvious reasons. But if you want Vietnamese, we have excellent places in Little Saigon, on South Federal. If you want Korean, they're dotted all over the place, but especially out in Aurora. We have good Greek places down by the Orthodox Cathedral (of course), and great Tex-Mex all over the place. If what you want is beef, we have great steak places all over, because Denver has been a beef town for nearly 150 years. As for Middle Eastern food, again we have a good select, and the Tech Center area is seeing new Indian places, all the time, because a lot of our tech workers come from there. If you can't find a place to eat, you're really not trying, honestly.
