I believe it is sad that somehow the meaning of Memorial Day has gotten lost in the festivities of the day. America provides freedom like no other Country in the World because of the mem & women who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure it. Let's remember those men & women today for their willingness to do so. Amen. Rit Nuzzo

Just found this. I've heard Taps Many times in my 60 years. Never resonated in me until my Father passed away. He served this great country for 22 years. Flew the American flag till his last breath.Taps was played by a young Highschool ROTC member at his funeral. It was then, I understood the mournful cry of this tune, cried out by that one mournful Trumpet. God bless all that's served this great Country. God bless those that actively serve and those that will serve in the future God Bless our military ❤❤❤❤

So sorry for you loss. I lost my mum at age 13, she was 48 breast cancer. Pop I lost in 1992. Know this they are always with us just as HE is, and is never far away. In a blink of an eye you will see them. Know they are looking after you and your loved ones just as your pets and animal friends who have gone to the Bridge. One day when HE feels its your/our time HE will send one of your pets who will guide you to the Bridge to be reunited and when the bell rings summoning you for your judgement, your animal friends will go with you as they are the true character witnesses. And if all goes well you will rejoin your parents, grandparents and all who went before you. Be of good cheer for even in sadness we are Blessed so much by GOD. Give your love to all whom you meet human, animal and please do good works for the homeless, the disabled and homeless vets and the stray animals of the street and in shelters. For every kind act you do brings you closer to GOD every day. {ax+

Never. We must never forget our fallen. They have bequeathed us a priceless legacy. One of freedom and liberty purchased at the price of their blood, their futures, their lives. Their precious sacrifice gleams like a brilliant star in the sky reminding us that selflessness and devotion still reside in the human heart. We must remember and honor them or we shall lose who we are as a nation. We owe them everything.

Thank you to everyone who answered the call of the draft and of their hearts to defend our beloved country. Thank you to those who returned maimed in limb and/or mind, broken souls, to those who never returned but gave their life willingly, and their families who had to and will have to endure a life without them, whether temporarily or until they meet again in Heaven. You all sacrificed for your brother and sister next to you, for your countrymen to have the freedom and opportunities many will never know, and for those who cannot or will not serve. I never really got to know her well, and despite that, she always put forth her best effort to always make sure we had a great time with her. I only wish that I could have spent more time with her. This memorial day, I am not in a celebratory mood. For me, memorial day I am usually reflective and melancholy. Since when has memorial day become synonymous with summer fun and even the summer? For many military families or friends of lost comrades, it is a time to remember the lives and sacrifices of the fallen. First responders and law enforcement included. This memorial day, I think of this TAPS song as a eerie and ominous omen of "the death of a nation", a song representing the sun setting on a once moral, decent, and christian nation. Anyways, thank you for service, fellow comrade and brother in Christ, Ken. Have a good one bro.

Defending this great nation and defending the men's women's who fought and died given us the right too stand up for for them because government won't because they don't know the price our soldiers paid or blood they spill defending rights all Americans they died knowing that they might not come back to a.county they love and fought for only is government knew the reason why they serve but government don't care that's sad but real reason why they went to war is this they did not go to war because we want to we went to wars because we have too. And we did not go wars too be forgotten but go wars too be remembered that's why I will never understand why's the government doesn't care they give so much too be told they did all for nothing that's part I will never understand why's they lost everything they had too be forgotten government needs to take a.history lessons because they did not died for nothing they give their life doing their job they were told too do so leave one's question will we ever go back too wars again because I don't see points on going back too wars unless our government allows us be attacks again then I can see points of going back too wars but I thought it wars is nothing but a money maker and our soldiers paid the price for what's what's dose our soldiers get out of it's nothing so why's go too wars it's should not be a money maker it's should be about men's women's who fought and died defending this great nation and one's who didn't come home wars is hell but we will never forget and we will never surrender and will never forget price our soldiers paid and we will never forget one's who never came home because ever soldiers who went too wars came home and one's didn't came home we owe them respect dignity honor peace we will never forget that's wars is hell so thank you and God bless USA peace ✌️ 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸✌️
