Altras are all I can run in. I gave up running because of injury for a couple years - every time I ran in traditional running shoes I’d end up in pain. Altras - never- 800+ miles on shoes… still no pain. How? Go Tara! Go Altra!

Brands should definenitly look at thru hikers. It's actually how I found out about Altra. Some of those thru hikers are as famous if not more than most runners. Jupiter, John Z... Legends. haha

about the final remarks, it takes a very special kind of Athlete to break away from the uniform brand visual. Courtney walking to the startline of UTMB dressed in bold coulours next to a the rest of the team in that years uniforms, or Jim starting in a Black top at UTMB or Western states. only the absolute top may do that. Katie does still roll in the uniform, although I think she's at the status to break that mould if she wants, she doesn't care that much about those external things maybe.
