She did get nominated for an (Daytime) Emmy back in '05, when she voiced Dannan on the animated series Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks on PBS. Yes, voice actors do get Emmy's. There is a category for voice acting at the (Daytime and Primetime) Emmys. You will mostly see celebrities/live action comedians/actors win and get nominated (Lily Tomlin, Louie Anderson, Tim Curry, Eartha Kitt, Nathan Lane, Maya Rudolph etc...) However, there are voice actors have been nominated/won with them (Daytime/Primetime) Emmys: Cree Summer, Rob Paulsen (won twice), Maurice LaMarche, Jessica DiCicco, Eric Bauza, Tom Kenny, Carlos Alazraqui, Jeff Bennett, Tress MacNeille, Jim Cummings, Pamela Adlon, Kevin Michael Richardson, Simpsons ppl: Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Harry Shearer, Hank Azaria, and Frank Welker (won a Lifetime Achievement Emmy in '16.), there is a lot more tho, look it up.)

I was curious how come she got Melody in Little Mermaid sidelining with THE little mermaid, Jodi Benson. Note that Jodi Benson was a broadway actress with heavenly vocals, while Tara Strong was more on the voice acting side (although her singing voice is good, it wasn't broadway level) So I was happy that she got to keep Melody and get to sing a duet with Jodi Benson. It really meant that she really fit Melody to a tee
