Farouk is my favorite...don't tell the other two. I love his spirit, and I think the Arabian face is beautiful....and that speed. He seems a calmer more trusting horse since the runaway incident.

I love Farouk's new red endurance bridle. Very nice. I think it was a perfect choice and color for him. But I think, you Tara, are more excited than he is. He won't be able to run off again. Enjoy. Here in Vermont, its about 25 US degrees here. Burrrr. I also noticed the way Farouk was moving his lips, in America, back in the 1960's we had a TV (or Telly) show called Mr. Ed, who was a talking horse, and moved his lips like that. Makes me wonder what he was thinking. I think you could google the show to see what I am talking about.

Maybe you can put a fence around a piece of land for them to use only when it's muddy outside. That way you will only have one section that you know will always be muddy, and that's ok. The rest will always look good. Nice red bridle. Farouk was mouthing out the words "thank you", like Mr Ed.

When I see Apollo fooling around, sort of naught/playful.... I just think he's like a big ol dog, you know what I mean, playing catch me if you can and galloping off behind the shed...or sofa... or shelter:). There's not an aggressive bone in his body, he's a perfect example of 'the love of life'. In fact the three of them are like that, fine examples of wellbeing. They are never pulled or whipped or treated badly, just a lot of patience and love goes into them every single day. I used to have 2 poodles and when I came home from night duty I used to throw my uniform down beside the washing machine and then turn way to make coffee..... the two boys used to sneak behind my back, pick up a sock or a top and quietly drag them off into the sitting room...... then the fun started because I used used to sort of 'scream' "what!!!! what have you done? And the chase was on..... Countless times we did this, behind the sofa, in and out of the rooms downstairs.... Pure joy of living:). Apollo made me think of my boys when he came galloping round behind the shelters, funny, happy memories.

Thank goodness you invested in the hardcore ... we had the same, but now we have had freezing temperatures for over a week, so the ground is so hard. I take flasks up the field to make sure their meals are warm, and also once To take the chill off their drinking water... every morning I have to take the top layer of ice off their water buckets, and it’s been that cold, that they’ve not melted, and are in a pile by the buckets. I thought Farouk looked beautiful.... I chuckled at him curling his top lip.... and loved how he posed for the photos... such a star. -6 here in Wales tonight so just put Bunny and Ruby’s extra warm rugs on for the night. Tmrw and Friday I have to sit my annual safety and emergency exams to keep my license recency. I will be doing the girls much earlier than usual, but it will still be -4🥶 but they will be 🥵if I leave their heavy rugs on all day, so I’ll have to pop their 100 gram ones on for the day... had I been sorting them later, I probably would’ve popped their 50grams on,but I feel a bit mean going from a heavy weight to lightweight when it -4. They’re worth it though🐎🐎💗💗Take Care, stay safe.xx

Well, we are so used to Apollo being the first at the gate and ready to put his head into his head collar and go with his people. So that is unusual, even if he is playing games. That is a lot of rain ... the horses will probably be happy to be home for a few days. I suspect your home paddock is also too wet. I think that Farouk looks spectacular in his new endurance bridle system. It'll be interesting how it holds up over time, especially with rain, sweat etc. But color wise it is very fetching and it is a great idea to have the bridle / head collar combination. I hope you had a nice ride on Farouk ... I look forward to seeing the rest of it, assuming we get that opportunity. Thank you!

Farouk looks very smart in his new bridle and he is such a gentleman standing absolutely still whilst you took your photos and prepared to mount. Not many horses would do that. It is lovely to see the excitement in your face, like a small girl getting a Christmas present which she really wanted. The rain has been terrible, the moors are sodden but now very slippery with ice. Take care of yourself. 🐎
