This is a "how to video" I put in my bookmarks for sure and watch while setting up switches and warnings. I have watched many of the Blue Falcon videos, and if followed correctly always work perfectly, as well as showing short cuts and tips. A huge Thanks for making these and helping promote our hobby!

it might be worth pointing out that the maximum flight height allowed in the US is 400 feet not 400 meters, a good warning number would be ~121-122 meters

I love your videos. You are the only person who has really taken his time to explain the FrSky Taranis X9D Plus. VFAS is not showing up as an option for me on my X9D Plus. I am using a FrSky XSR receiver. How did you add it to your options?

Great video. I was able to use Taranis method to created sounds for switches, but when I tried Companion method I cannot find the WAV files in the drop down menu "Parameter". My hunch is that my SD card contains all the sound files but the Companion directory is missing sound files. Can you tell me how to verify this? Or am I missing some step? I am using 2.1.9 companion/firmware

Helpful video! 1 question, is it possible to set STOP watch? using the trainer switch to turn on and stop when flit it again?
@Aspire77 жыл бұрын
How long did it take you to memorize all this stuff? I feel like I'm gonna have to watch these video each time I create new model. Great video and playlist tho man. Making things a lot easier for us slow folks! Just take it easy on the alcohol ;)
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
When you want to make a new model, if most of everything is the same then you can just go to a model you have already created, hold enter then choose copy model, then paste it. Thats all I do, saves a lot of time.

I want to do the delay on the annoying low battery alarm but I realise when I do a punch-out with my quad I need to hear when the battery is struggling so I can ease off the power, I guess the answer is to assign a switch and try to remember to enable it before each flight, but if you forget....

thanks man! how can I change my timer alarm sounds? it only does one beep.. Id like to have a custom alarm tone
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
Yep. All sounds can be customized. Look in the Taranis playlist in the description and find the custom sounds video.
@Jacey20017 жыл бұрын
yeah but all sounds seem to be for switch activated ones. i can do all sorts of those but cant figure out how to get my timer ending alarm to have a custom one.

Hey I was trying to create the alarm for the voltage value, and it didn't give me that option once scrolling through choices. That "vfast" option you chose for battery voltage. Do I need to download the custom sounds pack first in order to do this?
@Aspire77 жыл бұрын
Hmm, so even after downloading the Amber custom sounds pack, I'm still not getting that "Vfast" option. Any idea what's going on? I've also updated to the latest firmware...
@Aspire77 жыл бұрын
Well I got it to work, but it's telling me the voltage of my taranis. Of course my quad isn't on, so maybe it will tell me the value of it when it's plugged in, but when you demonstrated yours, it said 0 bolts because your quad want on...
@Aspire77 жыл бұрын
Yup, even after plugging in the quad it reads off the volts of the TX and not the quad itself... Any idea why?

Please help! I have added the VFAS special function switch on SH, but it's way off. The multimeter, the flight battery voltage display on the top line of the 1st Model screen, and the telemetry screen all show VFAS at 12.4 V (recently charged 3S). But the Special Function SH says 12.9V. Can't even charge that high. (Just sitting on the bench, not flying.) When flying it's anywhere from .5 to 1V higher, but that's a changing environment. Really messing with my OCD!
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
What does it show in Betaflight? The actual voltage or whats on your Taranis? If it matches whats in the Taranis you may have to calibrate it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpfCY5d-bKedd9k
@marksherman6307 жыл бұрын
Thanks for responding! I don't know what happened, but I just checked to verify (I had done your calibration video already), and BF saw 12.3, Taranis model screen 12.3, taranis telemetry screen 12.3, mutimeter 12.3, and only Taranis Spec Fn SW announcement was saying 12.8, and today it's saying 12.3! I'll see if it stays in sync, and I promise not to bother you again (for at least a week).
