thanks for posting this Dom! been working tarantula for a couple years now, and through that same set up (also great details on the "leg pinch") but I go for "modified x" instead of the SLX as i saw your prof Andre show in a previous video back when. What i noticed is opponents who are set on keeping the opposing leg heavy, i can't get under/lift with the modified x but your detail on pushing the hip and going to SLX was money! totally opens the game now :)

I thought pushing the ribs was kind of weird but nice to see a teacher says it. I am playing with the other two positions from tarántula guard but would be nice to see more details in the triangle please. Thanks for sharing.
