I'm new to your channel, but I am honestly in love with your spiders and their little faces. Especially your old girl in this video. I convinced my husband to let me get a jumping spider (they are sold out everywhere that I check!). Feel better! I have a mexican red knee spiderling that refuses to molt. She has a large abdomen, available water, hasn't molted in like half a year at least. She's squirrely, so that's good.

I just found your channel because I’m tackling my arachnophobia, and watching you taking care of your tarantulas and spiders has already made me feel less scared. I also think you are teaching people to have a lot more empathy for little critters.

I'm realizing that my spiders tend to want to feed when they have a degree of moisture added to their enclosures. It's an observation on my part, aside from the "Feed and Water" routine, I've "Fed" without a water addition, I've "Fed" with a water addition, and I've just watered without feeding and then next day feed and I just feel like I observe a better feeding response after "watering/next day feeding." On that note, my husbandry is typically "Dry then Water" routine as opposed to a "Maintain Moisture" routine. Same with my Immanis.... Rarely sticks its paws outside of the hide....

Muh spider attacked the water one time. I think she was just hungry though. Sometimes its weeks and weeks and we wont see her and I will worry if shes okay. So when I had my child I had her try to get the spider out of her log and I gently lifted it while she went in the other end of it with a paintbrush to motivate her to come out. I kid you not this spider, who is a total sweetheart, came out halfway and her legs were out and she gave me "the look" like why are you guys messing up my home with all these beautiful webs I spun to make it all cozy. I tell ya any doubt that may have remained that spiders dont have feelings evaporated with that look she gave me. I felt horrible to bother her, but I was worried about her.

in my experience, I have a chalcodes and I have a dry side and a damp side and she tends to hang out on the damp side. some people keep them dry as a bone but I live in Western Colorado and it's literally the desert out here so I keep all my enclosures with some sort of moisture just because. not saying you're doing anything wrong but it's worth a try keeping one side a little more damp than the other :)
