Imma need one of those giant cubes in about 2-3 years. I got a bunch of slings to start my collection and they sent me 2 extras for free and one of them was a salmon pink bird eater and a Venezuelan sun tiger. Had no idea what either species was and let’s just say imma lil nervous about them when they’re grown. But hey I got them to get over my fears and they’re really helping.

I absolutely love Tarantula Cribs but I have had a tarantula leg get stuck in the ventilation hole at the top. My GBB tarantula was 2.5" and in the appropriate size enclosure with proper amount of substrate. Thankfully I saw it & was able to use a paintbrush to gently push her leg in. No damage to her leg, thankfully

I know I keep coming back to this video, But I have found that this particular Tarantula is one of my Favorites of all. Love your channel. I am about to buy my first spider. But I am still learning and want to find the best first spider for me. There is a lot to learn. Anyways… I live in Sweden and here a smaller spider called Waspspider translated to English are being more common. Argiope bruennichi. I haven’t found one yet but I would love to see one. Any experience with that spider? Not a tarantula of course.

I live in northern Germany and since few Seasons we have at least 1-5 on our Plant Nurserys Property every Year. Even Cocoons. They love to Weave there big Orbs in high Gras and/or near highly frequented Flowers. They catch larger Prey, like Howerflys, Bees and Wasps. The Orbs often have a define white Line in the middle. For seasonal Orbweavers, they are impressive in Size. Little larger than our Gardenspider Pearls. The Cocoons are Build in Brushes and High Gras also. Sadly, as many of our Spiders they're only Seasonal and don't live long. They came from warmer Areas and now beginning to set foot north, as our colds get milder now. High Grasses, Flowering Brushes with lots of flying Prey are this Spiders Terrain. Never had them far out our old Salvia Shrub, High Gras Patches. They stay near the Ground, never saw one Higher up than my Chest. They don't spook that easily. Good to observe in their Orbs. When you find 1 there could be more nearby. Watch out in Grasland and Shrubs about Hip hight. Strong drawing Flowers like Thistles in between could be good too. Good luck.

Weird question, do you wash them before you use new enclosures or am I paranoid? Just curious if other keepers do this or if I'm wasting my time.

I think most keepers wash the enclosures out before use. Everybody I know does and so do I. It definitely doesn't hurt and gives you peace of mind. I especially double clean enclosures from pet shops because you never know if flea treatment (pesticides) spilled out onto them or not while on delivery trucks....I don't know, I'm extra paranoid I suppose 🤣

I know you probably hear this a lot but I suffer from arachnophobia and watching your videos truly helps me. Fear stems from a lack of knowledge and I am educating myself slowly. But not brown recluses. They literally make me sick.

I felt the exact same way. I was terrified of most things that crawl until I found her videos and then eventually caught my own jumper sling but that wasn’t enough and ordered 5 tarantula slings. I picked only slings for the sole fact of being able to get over my fears of them slowly as they grow. Trying to get used to handling but still a little creeped out by the bigger slings tho. Only thing that slightly scares me is the hairs. I have no fear of being bit but paranoid that one might kick hairs and they’ll get in my eyes or I breath them in. Just gotta remind myself that as long as they’re calm and feel safe it’ll be fine

I definitely would get some of these enclosures for a confirmed adult female or a communal, but I wouldn’t bother spending so much money for slings or juvenille’s. Only cause it’s not in my budget!
