selena is a national treasure in the music industry of america. she is revered as the queen of american music. first only to madonna and even much greater than her. madonna which deserves even greater praise and respect for being at selena's funeral. selena was on equal ground with elvis and michael jackson. to many including myself she was even greater. she was literally killed at the very peak of her career and had so much more to give. this is a daunting concert as well as masterful. this was her last chance and her last dance and it's like she felt it and gave it her all and she made it, she really did. she made it to the top. that is why she is so legendary and forever remembered. simply unforgettable. one of the greatest artists of all time in american history.

What’s even crazier is that Selena never had vocal training when she was younger. She was a natural born entertainer who also didn’t have a dance lesson. Selena was such a rare diamond of an artist. She was only 23. She was so close to achieving the global superstardom she had been working for since she was a little girl. I'm not exaggerating when I say she was on Michael Jackson's level. Her dreams were coming true in every way. This was a record setting audience of almost 70,000 people. She was finally recording her English crossover album and was planning a global tour in the fall. She was working with the best producers and songwriters. She was dabbling in acting (she even had a small part in movie with Marlon Brando and Johnny Depp). She was about to open her third boutique in Mexico and had a clothing line she designed. Her and her husband were designing their house on a ranch in Texas and they were starting to think about having a family. She was at the top of her game and it seemed like nothing could stop her. That tears me up when I think about it.

Her sister commented that their first time they played in the Astrodome it was nerve racking especially when they were told they wouldn’t be able to hear themselves because of the sheer size of the dome. Everything from the live instruments to Selena’s voice was about a 5-10 second delay & she had no ear piece also. You have to have a VOICE & such confidence to be able to sing in an Arena like this. Obviously today everything in a “live” performance is enhanced.

Btw Tara I LOVE your videos!! They give me life and i constantly look forward to your new videos! 😘 So please please don’t take any offense from this comment! I’ve always felt like we, as fellow singers, are way to harsh on other vocalists when it comes to enunciation. I know that it’s supposed to be a necessary aspect to comment on while critiquing the technique of any vocalist. But I also feel like enunciation is a stylistic choice in most cases. So I guess I usually try to take that into consideration. And when it comes to Selena, I feel that it’s necessary to remember that she did have an accent when it came to english music. No matter how slight. In her case especially, I really don’t penalize her for the enunciation of certain words. I think it was a combination of her accent and her stylistic choices that were discussed in the video. Again I love your channel!! I meant no disrespect! It’s just my opinion that enunciation is sometimes critiqued a bit too harshly. That’s all :) Can’t wait to see the next reaction video! You’re amazing Tara!!!😊

She’s a goddess! You should react to her ‘si una vez’ on the same concert.

Bienvenida a texas! Particularly San Antonio and Corpus Christi, she's an absolute idol. You should also listen to Como la Flor y El Chico del apartamento Cinco doce. Come to Corpus Christi, the outfit is there.
