Excellent review as always! I've been wanting a closer look at these for a while. Will definitely be getting a set. Is 23g your preferred weight? Do you think a gram or 2 makes a big difference on the flight of the dart?

Cheers Dave! I think 23g is what I use mostly but I can happily throw 22 or 24 and sometimes even lighter or heavier but generally 23g seems to feel the best :) Some people can be really affected by just a change of 1g but I tend to think its mostly in the mind but it is also more likely to affect those of a higher skill level because they are more accurate, I'm talking about people in high 80+ averages up to pro level. When your that good and your throw is so consistent and precise I think your likely to see the affect from small changes more than someone with less skill if you see what I mean :)

I would stick with them for now. Personally I dont think its a good thing to be changing darts all the time not if you want to improve, some people do but on the whole I think its best to stick with a set for at very least 3 months. Only reason I switch a lot is because I dont play as well as I used to due to an injury so for me I am just having fun trying different darts :)

Well done on the 180! I think with these darts the grip is quite unique so if you have to buy them from the net to get them you will only know once you get to try them if you like them or not which makes it a bit of a gamble unless there is a shop near you where you can try them or if you know someone who has a set, so I think if you want to be cautious then try the normal grip Gen 3 but personally I prefer these Pixel version.

Super ch , think I’ve watched most videos, any chance you could do a review on the Eric Bristow ringed darts please? I’ve just bought myself a new set in 22g and repointed them with 35mm storm points and I forgot how amazing them darts are ! Keep up the good work .

Will do. Been practising with the 2015 Gary Anderson phase 3 that I bought a few weeks back. But I think I need that slight extra width. They should be here Mon-Tues. Looking forward to them arriving. I fancy the showtimes will suit me. Till will tell. Playing my mate, first to 11 next week for £50. I'm hoping they will be the difference. He beat me 11-7 and 11-9 last few weeks.He has played constantly for 20 years. I just got back into playing 8 weeks ago after 10 years without playing. He know's it's only a matter of time before I start crushing him lol. My best has been a 15 darter in the last 8 weeks. I used to be able to do that every 5-6 games, with a load of 25-30 odd darters in between mind. But I'm focused and putting in 15 hours a week.Time for a win lol

Playing for money should certainly keep you on your toes :) 15 darter is good, I don't think I ever got less than 18 darts but that was years ago before I lost my natural throw and had a few injuries. Now if I get a leg in 25 darts its a miracle lol! I doubt I will ever get as good as I was, I have the odd spell now and then were I throw well like last week I played and I was on a finish after 12 darts but just could not get that double, so annoying!

Great looking Darts. I'm sure someone on the forum said they weren't as grippy as the Carrera C4. It was a toss up between a set of C4 or these I bought myself for xmas. Ended up going with the C4s. I grip right at the back, passed the ring grip so the Lewis darts wouldn't work for me. Also im not a fan of the coating, id be too worried the would chip. Anyway great review as always. Big step up in production quality too, looking real professional now.

Josh the 22g c4s are the first and only dart I've owned. I tried lots in the shop and they just felt right. I recently tried a mate's set; something a little chunkier and figured it was time to treat myself to a set of something different - ordered some Unicorn Luminas in 25g, and that same day was lucky enough to spend a good few hours playing... typically my c4s showed their worth and I was throwing like never before, my average doubled. I'll look forward to the Luminas arriving, but that day the spirit of darts gave my greedy side a reality check, and the c4s proved that it was me that needed to put more into our relationship!

C4 are my nephews favourite darts, I have a set which I show in the video above, I forgot I had them but not thrown them yet but I think the Lewis Pixel is slightly grippier but its a bit curious as it has bits that feel grippy and also at the same time has bits that feel flat but I think the coating is adding a little to the grip, not a lot in it but was kind of hard to decide but I think the Pixel grip was just that tiny bit more grippy but as with anything how we feel the grip is very subjective and can vary a lot from person to person I do think the C4 may possibly fly better for me though as they are a little shorter, will review them eventually :) Thanks too and Merry Christmas Josh! :)

Hi! I somehow have not come across this review until now, however, I would like to ask you something concerning these darts. Firstly, I love Lewis darts since they are easy to throw for me so this set is also naturally attractive to me. Anyway, Do you think that the money which I would invest in this set is worth it? Hi Jan, its a tough one to say, only you can know how much you are willing to spend but if you have never tried pixel grip before it may be a grip you dont like, so I would say if you want to play it safe done get them or try and test a pixel grip dart first if possible then decide :)

Well, I have never tried pixel grip, however, as I understood from the review the pixels on these barrels are different (bigger and rougher) in comparison with other pixel darts so it would be more useful to try exactly this set of darts to be able to come to a good decision. Anyway, I will have to consider this thoroughly. They are so pricey that I will probably have to encourage some of my relatives to buy me this set for Christmas... :D However, what I meant when asking about the worthiness of the money for this set was rather the price in comparison with standard darts prices which are for me about 40 to 55 pounds... :)

Target have a lot of versions of pixel grip darts now, guess it depends what you need, the Keane Barry darts have pixel grip on the rear but not right to the end of the barrel, I think the Target Carrera Azzurri AZ03 is similar too.

Well I thought these Lewis darts are the best version of the Lewis dart that I have tried but I think I have thrown the Andos better so I would still probably go for the Andos. As for which is most stable I thought the Lewis were kind of angling when I threw them.

Hello mate, your English is good :) Yes the pixel grip darts are different and not everyone likes it, for some people it may be too grippy. But I dont know if you will like it or not, the only way is to try it but if you dont like it then you will need to sell the dart I'm afraid :)

Another decent review. And I can vouch for these. I had a set of Gen 2 and then moved to Gen 3, then bought these. First couple of weeks they felt too grippy for me but now pretty much playing the best darts I've played for a good 5 years. Definitely helped me personally

Hi mate i purchased these and im really struggling to get the dart to fly well, i grip more towards the rear and have upgraded to these from some 21g a lewis darts from argos haha i bought 23g pixels and i throw better with the argos £20 ones, so frustrating (only been playing for a month properly)

As a front gripper I struggled with his other versions, even the Unicorn ones were never that good for me but these are the first ones that worked half decent for me but I think the grip is a bit like Marmite, some will like it and some will hate it, I think I prefer it over the normal style of pixel grip but like a lot of things its not possible to know until you try them and that's were the old darts shops are really missed, there is a few left still but nearly everything is online now so unless your lucky and live near one of the few remaining shops its always a chance you have to take when buying. But price never means they will be better, the darts I hit my first 2 180s with and my only ever triple bullseye cost less than £10 but I got them free from Red Dragon years ago when you bought over a certain amount, I hated them but everytime I picked them up to have a play I seemed to hit 180's lol!

Well the Cobalts were a strange shape but for me they did not work with my loopyish throw but when I throw them flatter they seem to work really well, so if you throw flat naturally then I would say give them a try. They work excellent at the Bull area for me and I nearly had 2 triple bullseyes with them, I still want to get a 23g to see how they work though :)

I think its how my release catches the edges on the pixels, some times I get a lot of spin and others I have been able to release it smoothly but it did not seem to matter too much as they were flying well regardless :) Cheers Paul and Merry Christmas! :)

I have these on my way for a birthday present but in 25g only been playing a month and was recommended these by the person who sold me the first set I have says they are the same roughly. What size stems and shape flights do you recommend or does it all depend on me.

Hi David, I would say its something you need to find what suits you, if you can its a good idea to buy a few different sizes of stems and flight shapes and just find what feels the best for you. I often tend to use medium stems and standard flights but sometimes if the barrel is quite long I switch to short stems. David Shaw if you have a dartshop nearby like me, just go over there and ask if you can try some stuff. This way I found my darts, shafts and flights. (Started 3 months ago)

lewis doesn't seem to have faith in the darts target make as always reverts back to the unicorn ones

like MVG probably more of a mental thing, but MVG's darts look like they are ready for the bin but they still perform for him :)

hi i use andrian lewis unicorn 20g i play well but sometimes i struggle and i push the dart a lot!!and i need to switch to 23g but i cant find them!!are the target andrian lewis generation 2 the same?

They are similar but not an exact match.

I think the Gen 2 is a s close as your likely to get but if want them to be exactly the same but heavier your best option is to get some custom made darts made to match.
