Target Gift Card SCAM | How I got my Money Back

I was gifted a target gift card. Come to find out my gift card had been part of a Target gift card scam. When I tried to use the balance online and in-store the number said it wasn't valid.
It turns out someone had tampered with the silver foil sticker that you scratch off. The essential removed the foil, wrote down the card numbers and then glued a new sticker on top.

I initially thought I got a defective gift card but I wonder if I got a scammed. I had immense difficulty scratching off my “Let’s Eat” gift card only to end up scratching the bar code and all the numbers off. I have another card just like it and I’m afraid of scratching that one off now.

It could be, hopefully the business will be able to offer you a solution. As I was researching for this video I saw many others discussing the various scales associated with gift cards!
