Target Nastri Darts Review

From all the new stuff Target unveiled, this is the dart that caught my interest the most. Ordered the version 1 shape and will keep an eye out for the version 4 on the second hand market. Even if the Nastri turn out to be unsuitable for me, they sure as hell look nice as an eyecatcher in a darts collection.

Got these a few days ago as I was always curious and got an insane deal I couldn't turn down. Well I absolutely love them. I'm a front grip and before these rvb gen 4 were my best dart. Likely the only dart I bought without watching your review first. And thank God because I'm playing even better and love how they feel in hand. I'm decent with most darts but I'm really enjoying these

got a set of these after your review, bit expensive agreed but they are so very nice indeed! think you were spot on in everything you said about them though the grip is kinda strange and not everyone will like it but I love it and they are flying great for me best money I have spent on darts so far, keep up the fantastic reviews, you are the only reviewer I rely on for correct info now thankyou sir!

yeah not a cheap dart and looks kind of basic at first I guess, but has a nice feeling in some ways if a little weird, thanks :)

Oh I have seen some pretty cool looking darts over the years but its what ever you like in the end, these are certainly nice though :)

Wow, wow, wow.... What a very nice looking dart 🤩 Although i'm more of a scallop fan, i want the nastri (04) on my board. With that strong grip in the middle section, I think it will work proper for me 👍🏼

Thanks mate, these were not easy to photograph due to the shiny and white colour and clear stems and flights, especially when I use a white background 😊

Had them since release and been throwing really well with them. At first the darts were sticking to my fingers like crazy but after getting used to them, they fly very straight and fast to the board. Using the new 35mm points with them as well. Great review as always Darren, cheers!

Thanks! Good to get some feedback, sounds like you experience pretty much what I mention in video then, I am sure with more time I will feel more settled with the grip, I do like the feel of it but when throwing seemed a little catchy on skin at times. :)

Yes, I like the Hema 02 SP’s and the RVB model, waiting to see your review. I currently have two sets of Target darts, the ALS 03 SP’s and the Swiss SP01’s.

Nice review Darren. The feel of the dart , and look of the dart is strange for sure. But nice to see target do something other than rings or neural. Cant wait for RVG new dart! Keep up the good work!

You scraping the fingernail against that nano point really put shivers down me spine lol. Ballsy for Target to go grip all round like when Quantum did Griptide. I will stand by my comments on the forum, it looks better than the current Elysian. Not to mention, the super close up of the middle section looks like a tic tac toe game xD

LOL sorry, its like the finger nails down the blackboard thing I guess :) Yeah the new Elysian are not up to the usual wow factor of previous ones, a little dull I think. Tic Tac Toe is a very good description of that :)

Looks like the new Target dartboard is marking up pretty quickly? How would you compare it to the Winmau Blade 5 dual core or One80 Gladiator 3+? My dual core has lasted me well over a year & is still immaculate even using specialty points 😄

I don't think you could ever beat a Dual core board in my opinion. I'm in the same boat my dual core still looks new after a year abuse. My gladiator did start showing abuse after 3 months of use. I do like the new Target board and I am also interested in the review.

New board holes dont seem to be healing well, but still early days will give it more time. I think the G3+ is still best board for long term use.

Overall a very nice dart . I liked the shape and the way they cut the grip into the barrel. Not too bad a price as well.

Thanks Daniel! I agree they do look good though, may even look better in the flesh as its not an easy dart to photograph with strong lights with all that white/silvery colour. LOL I am not sure what to do with these yet, think I want to try the other model so may do a giveaway on these as they are still in near new condition :)

Good review! The machining looks great. It's wonderful how CNC machining benefits the darts industry. These darts interest me, but it may be a while before I get around to buying a set. I'm interested to see what other people say about the grip.

Interesting review Darren. I've got this set and really enjoying them at the moment. Can't say I'm experiencing the release issues you had, I reckon it'll be down to how the player grips the dart on release maybe. Good review though mate and yes it really is a good looking dart.

Thanks mate, also thanks for your feedback as it helps others to decide also but yeah like I mention its all about the way they are held and release, some left my fingers cleanly and some were catchy on skin. A few others have mentioned the same as me but say they got used to them after a while, what you see in video is my first go with them so I think with more time I will probably get the hang of them better. One guy hated them though, he said they just stuck to his fingers, were not quite as bad as that for me though lol Agreed they do look great! :)

@@DartsReviewChannel Yeah, I totally get all of that. Darts are very personal at the end of the day. Funnily enough I find the grip quite subtle, they look like they'll shred your fingers to pieces but surprisingly didn't feel too harsh for me. Look forward to the RvB review, they look the part too.

@@Jiminy_Bob too true its all personal, before I threw them I got a message online from a friend who said he sent them back, said they were way too grippy, I said he must have girly hands as they did not feel that grippy to me, they dont when I just hold them, but when throwing them it felt more edgy so I was not sure what score to give them, I think I may have got it about right though. We will all have our own feel on what is grippy and not though, some say the nano grippy is grippy but to me it feels slippy. RVB4 look nice I think :)

When I got the Cortex Azzurri I found that the grip "cut" into my fingers, in much the same way you are saying with these. It might be a simple case of playing with them loads so the grip wears down a bit. They do look a lovely dart though, will go to my local place to try them out before buying though. Getting tight in my old age, haha

Yeah I know what you mean about the Cortex too. Its really hard to describe these new grips in a way for people to get an idea of how they may feel but already I am getting people telling me mixed feelings about the Nastri, which is what I suspected would happen, some say its very aggressive and some say its not at all lol Just one of them darts you really need to find out for yourself I guess, good that you can do that locally though. Getting old has many problems and my main one is aches and pains lol! :)

Going back and checking these videos before I buy. Great looking dart, and I'll probably get it, but a few of the dart shops I use now don't seem to want to carry Target anymore. I refuse to purchase from anyone over here in the U.S., but I really only deal with Darts Corner or Perfectdarts in the U.K. Did Target change something? Seems a little strange.

Try Doubletop Darts they stock them. DC, Perfect Darts no longer stock Target or Winmau.

Thanks! Some people like the ease of switching points but I am not bothered about points that much, a bog standard black point works fine for me :)

@@DartsReviewChannel when I was in league play I seen guys sharpening their darts a few times a night . I think the guy repointing darts made a few dollars off those fellas . I buffed mine up when necessary if the tip hit a wire or the floor .

Swiss point wont be going away I dont think. Agreed the prices are getting more each year but I think its been going on since the Unicorn Phase 5 and its not stopped so is unlikely to do so sadly. Thanks! :)

@@tomhinds4380 I dont know what is totally involved with all the behind stuff in making darts, I am sure its not as simple as we think, but with players darts they are going to sell masses of them so surely wont hurt to have them a little cheaper? Hopefully will have an update on that in next week or two and will be updating on the G3+ and Samurai 2 soon also, just got an Ultra today, boy does it look good, hope it performs as well as it looks.

Nastri is not a Japanese word. I think it comes from Nastro in Italian, which means a ribbon or a tape.

the grip is weird. Another attempt to be "unique at all cost. They look very nice, I like them but I would not chose them as my playing darts.. I've stopped experimenting with the shapes and I'll stay with slime long barrels...

it is a little strange but kind of a new version of knurl so not entirely unique just a bit different , one of them grips you need to try as it can be something you will like or hate really.
