Jen, I just started wearing shorts after at least 10 years of not wearing them. I’m in my 50’s. I have PCOS and have struggled with my weight so much. I never wanted anyone to see my legs. I live in NC and would wear jeans all summer long. And I’m a sweaty gal so being in the south in 100 degree temps in jeans…..YIKES. I just don’t care anymore. People don’t like it, they can look away. We do the best we can. Weight loss, weight gain….. it doesn’t matter. Our bodies are just the shells that carry the important stuff. Sending 💜 your way!

I don’t wear shorts in public, but around my house I wear old denim jeans that I cut off at just above the knee. Most of them were old skinny jeans, and so they look nice and tailored:) I’m a size 12, but with thick thick legs. Love your channel, and yeah, a lot of us can relate to a “real” influencer🙂

Jen, I completely understand why you feel wearing jeans that are tighter feel and fit better. I don't have the same body shape as you, but I have a big butt and thighs. If I start with jeans that "fit" a few hours in they're completely saggy butt and I'm tugging then up all freaking day long. Then they look sloppy. Please just FUDGE the people that comment on how you wear your clothes. How would they feel if someone commented on everything they wore? I get it that you put yourself "out there", but do your thing and please don't pay any attention to them. You obviously love what you do. And you do a GREAT JOB doing what you do. You can tell so much love goes into your videos and content! Please don't let anyone do that to you and your confidence! We mess up our own confidence enough. You don't need it. Struggling with you! We are shaped very similarly and I just wanted to tell you how much I love your channel. You are so gorgeous and wear everything well. We are always way less kind to ourselves than to other people. Seeing you cooking the looks reminds me that I might look good in some of these things too. I knew it would happen when i started it but i figured that was more acceptable than struggling mentally after i lost my mom. I've just come off of it and going to struggle to get the weight off in menopause now. The battle never ends. I'm not a fan of Targets clothes...they don't fit me well, so I don't shop there. But I do like the style and color of #4 . Since I started this Carnivore diet, my PUFA is almost flat and I have less rolls and cellulite on my torso and legs, so less [opportunity for exit] , and I LURVE IT!! For the first time in many years I've started wearing shorts, because this Carnivore diet has improved my skin, I tan better without burning, my varicose veins have actually shrunk in size, I have way less fat on my legs and even my cellulite is melting away slowly. I have to pinch myself sometimes as I see so many health and body improvements and it doesn't seem real!!!! But the mirror says otherwise!. TY Jen, love the vid!!❤

Hello Jen....I also understand your feelings about your legs. I to, do not like to wear shorts. Different reasons....I have a lot of veins, and my right knee is bigger than the left, do to injury. I wear a lot of joggers, long skirts, casual pants and jeans. Lots of stretchy jeans for sure! I guess you just have to do what makes you comfortable. Keep cookin them looks lady! ❤

For errands out, I wear loose pants (elastic waist), skirts and sometimes a dress. The last pair of denim were the cutest! I liked 7 and 10 on you. How well I knew the frustration of the waist gaping when the hips fit. But with age, the waist will catch up with the hips. I don't like that either! Oh well!! Thanks Jen! 💜

Jeans are tricky. I think the less stretch they have the better the corset effect. But some days when you wear jeans you WANT that little extra stretch, especially if you are wearing them ALL DAY!! I wear jeans, all year! I wear shorts, too and sometimes a skirt or dress. It just depends how I feel.❤ and this is my “ opportunity for exit!!” Have a great week!!

Been missing you Jen! I do wear mostly ankle/crop jeans in the summer. I try to find lighter ones but some aren't and they are ok. I wear some longer shorts but mostly only at home. We are having a scorcher of a year here in Oregon. I think my fat looks better tan! We do go boating and I have swim suits with the shorts and they look ok. I am over 60 now and feel like "who cares!" now more than I used to when I was younger.

I've been interested in trying out a pair of high waisted button fly Wild Fable jeans! I'm waiting for the price to drop a bit or catch them on sale. I too haven't worn shorts very much as an adult. One reason was because of my skin's texture on my legs: the condition i now know is called "strawberry legs" I'm a lighter skinned black woman and because my legs don't get a lot of sunlight, they're even brighter and that coupled with the dark dots, i was insecure about wearing shorts. Now that I'm just over that insecurity, I'd like to wear shorts more often too. My beef with shorts is finding pairs that fit me correctly and aren't too short or too long! I feel you on the shorts issue!
