Why did you say the suspended bite could go bad fast?
@mickaburkhart144 ай бұрын
The hook up. Because they hit it so fast sometimes that the fish may not be hooked good and pop off.
@letsgofishing24.74 ай бұрын
@@mickaburkhart14 Yes I lose more than I should when suspended and I agree I just wondered if your take was the same as mine. It’s especially worse on bigger fish with thick tooth patches I think. I landed a 41 pound Flathead couple of months ago on a suspended rod and the hook never penetrated at all. He was just holding it in the middle of the front of his mouth.
@mickaburkhart144 ай бұрын
@@letsgofishing24.7 yeah that definitely happens. Since I've moved to the triple threats them hook ups have been better but still loose a few.

That was awesome. Don't sell yourself short. Catching those 2 fish this time of year is great. So you know. You have become my favorite, tied with Spencer and Josh. Can't believe you don't have more subscribers. If you don't mind me asking, how long have you had this KZbin channel? I love to watch you fish and explain what you are doing.
@mickaburkhart144 ай бұрын
Thank you. But yeah I got to put in my KZbin time in to get the subs. But you will see me more on Spencer's channel this year. I've only been doing this KZbin thing for about a year now.

Thanks Micka. I will be doing a guide tour with Spencer next month. Glad to hear you two are getting together. You will make a good team.

Lol hey I don't know how many of those I've caught. But always good to get out regardless.

It’s always good to have old ways of fishing to try when it gets tough. That’s all I use to do was anchor up on structure but I can tell now that the dragging game has really stolen my patience for sitting still 😂 good job brother enjoyed it👍
@mickaburkhart144 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yeah that's all I ever did was anchor up. Taught me alot of patience 😆

What kind of rod leashes are you using and how do they attach to the rod holder and the rod.
@mickaburkhart144 ай бұрын
I use the new Slingz that John Bubba New makes. Just search his name on Facebook and he can get you squared away. There is a loop on one end that you attach to the rod holders and a big carabiner on he other that hooks to the rod.

If I try to drag should I drag against the current or with? I’ve never dragged before.
@mickaburkhart144 ай бұрын
Definitely against the current. But technically if you have no current then you can drag either way.
