I really appreciate your hard work on your videos. One thing that I really appreciate is when tell temp of grill High / Low / Med. I’m just learning about griddle temps. Used to own rest (years ago) but mainly hamburgers in my past. Trying to expand my horizons on the griddle. Thanks, Dan

Looks good, Matthew. I bought me a 24 oz. ribeye to grill tonight. When I got home, I discovered I had used my last bit of charcoal and had forgotten about it. So, I did a reverse sear on my Blackstone. I pretty much did like you, started around 350, but directly on the griddle, not a rack. When it was time, I boosted temps to 450 to sear. Good eatin', my friend.

The Hungry Hussey The trip was great, thanks. Much needed. Very remote, so you’re forced to unplug and helps to relax. Fishing for Walleye. Not sure if you get them down south. interesting that you use a cafeteria tray. I use them too. I'm not certain if they're intended for meats to be all over them, but the raised edges are really useful. Then after a couple years or so they get all scratched up and are hard to clean. I should buy more at a time...
@thehungryhussey5 жыл бұрын
Sure they're okay for meat. Don't see why not? They're NSF (bought them from foodservice). I bought about 8 at one time.
@monkeyb18205 жыл бұрын
They get scratched up easily, and they're particularly gross when bits of raw chicken catch on the scratched areas so I wasn't sure if this usage meets restaurant type rules--but I also think it's a-ok for home usage. The problem with the official red/yellow/green plastic cutting boards is they don't have the useful raised edges. I'm off to go buy some more cafeteria trays...

Gotcha. All I use them for is to take stuff out to the deck with. No cutting on mine.

Yes, they’re still usable some. Wind guards may still be needed depending on your location. The regular hard cover will work it just cannot hang off the back like without the surround. You’d just remove it and place it somewhere while cooking.
