To be fair throughout almost 2k hours I've had one or 2 of these massive long action packed fights. They don't happen mostly because of the networking being heavily skewed for the aggressive player. So aggressive play style is objectively superior to defending. That's why fights end instantly. If the game didn't have such a massive peakers advantage and suppression wasn't bugged fights would last way longer.

Tarkov was a mood and an atmosphere only few could match. With its history and current situation it is just a shadow of its former self... Makes me fucking sad man. I wanted the gritty, realistic, intense, and dark atmosphere in RAID. Not the amount of bullshit quests, immersion ruining cosmetics (certain masks, armbands and so on, not the apparel), tone deaf boss designs that collide with the seriousness of the game. Maybe I am too nitpicky, but after all that and the obvious scam methods of BSG I just don't see this game anymore like that I did back then in 2020...

exactly my point. Suppression mechanics exist. we see them actively suppressing the enemy and continually pushing them with grenades as you would irl, and bsg said they are making their shooter in the vision of their film. Sad.

@@urosmamic4172 That is not really a community issue, everyone will gravitate towards what they find the most fun to use, be it asthetically or gameplay wise, and that tends to be high end stuff, not much can be done there, except BSG rebalancing progression and early game, ive recently tried the SPT realism mod and it helps a ton on how it manages early game guns and the interaction between bullets and armor, which makes even the shitiest guns fun and rewarding to use. On the other hand not even tha AI plays fair, so its hard to expect players to do so, maybe if suppression was added to both ai and players thinghs would be better. Something else that might work, though most people will probably dislike it, is simulating how dissorienting and confussing CQB can be, if you watch CQB footage, and even this movie, you can tell its chaotic, and you can hardly see anything in the first place, squad tried it, but people disliked it a lot, maybe if tweaked it could be what makes CQB more fun and long lasting

Lore wise the building was compromised, Both the BEAR and USEC were most likely fleeing the numerous scavs swarming the building that were coming to pick the bodies clean of their gear, and killing and leftovers for their gear as well. Chance encounter

In the context of tarkov, they can't take their time. They have no reinforcements and nowhere secure and close by to fall back to. Look at how quickly a band of warring scavs showed up to clean up the survivors for their gear.

IRL you would clear room to room with infinite grenades, but in the context of this movie, it made sense why they went rushed with rifles and a few frags as explained above. They were trying to clear things out before other groups surrounded them.

@@sheeplord4976 wouldnt* real life CQB isnt ever cut and dry and you wouldnt be wasting frags in a scenario where there is no guarantee youll find more. maybe if you had an active supplier then sure i can see that happening, but in the end theres no right answers on what to do, theres only luck and one wrong move. the firefight was pretty damn realistic, the least realistic parts of the video is when the BEAR survivors play dead, and the chance encounter where the BEAR finds the USEC right at the end.

I remember I was playing Onward, it’s a VR shooter and my fireteam (6 total) got caught in an apartment by the enemy team (6 total aswell) and nobody had suppressors. So imagine the chaos of 0 suppressors, yelling over coms and bodies everywhere, grenades and flash bangs popping off every four or so seconds. It ended up pretty similar but me and my TL were all that was left from that engagement.
