The Least Prussian Way to Form SUPER GERMANY - Victoria 3 1.3.6 Prussia Guide

Super Germany is a classic fun alternate history where the Austrian Kaiserreich chooses to join Prussia in forming a German state, rather than sticking on its own as happened historically. In Victoria 3, it used to be possible to form Super Germany in a matter of just a year or so, at least world record-wise, but now it's a bit tougher.
While more difficult, forming Super Germany in Victoria 3 is only difficult in that it is now more time consuming than it once was, but is nonetheless quite simple. In this guide, I'll explain how to form Super Germany by befriending Austria.
The first 10-15 years are about that, and afterwards, I go through what I did as Super Germany, although with a nation as powerful as this one, you can do whatever you want uncontested, so beyond the intro, the sky's the limit.

To solve Schleswig Holstein you can just alliance with Mecklenburg at game start and then invade overland, usually other countries don't join or denmark backs down

That's true, yeah. I realized that later when in one test run, I accidentally allied with Lubeck and did something similar. At the same time, because navies make no sense, you can still just land on Denmark with 5 understaffed flotillas.

Just did a supergermany run, so fun. Was trying to get hegemon achievement without going over 25 infamy, but custom unions don’t count. Realized this and conquered the world

I’ll just thread my comments 12:40 - how does cheap grain create loyalists - you’re limiting your IP transfer unless you’ve got commercial AG. Better to build more profitable capitalist owned buildings and lower tax rate, loyalists will skyrocket

Cheap grain makes pops able to spend less on grain, which frees up their wealth for other goods that will increase their standard of living. Alongside grain, clothes and furniture have a similar, and larger effect, but they take longer to build than farms. Farms also create farmers, who get pretty middling wages, and once you get commercial agriculture, you can tack on capitalists to all farms, which can make tons of investment pool income.

I'm not sure that you get a claim on Alsace Lorraine anymore as Germany, since you would normally instead do the "unification play" button to get it, as it targets France to take it, and that button is 0 infamy. I never hit that button because I'd have had to wait until pan-nationalism for it

Nah, that would be "not a Prussian way" to form Germany, since it has nothing to do with Prussia. The LEAST Prussian way is through befriending their ultimate rival KEKW

5:07 quick question, i was under similar circumstances in one of my games and the option to unification leadership wargoal with austria wasnt an option, how did you get the "german national identity" event before holstein gets its independence?

I more or less followed your steps, formed the North German Federation, and even tho I got relations with Austria up to 80 they won't support me. Also tried to force them to join a war on my side with an obligation, but it didn't work, heck, I'm even allied with them. Don't know what did I messed up, or if you just can't do it that way anymore, is there anything else I could try without going to war with them? Or is it restart my only option now?

Oh! And lets not forgett that right at the start of the game u can both, as Austria or Prussia, form an alliance with Russia for an obligation. U then only have to make sure that no revolution happens, bcause then u are no great power anymore for the time the war happens with lets Russia to most likely use the obligation to pull u into their customs union. If u are in their CU u cant return to be a GP which lets Austria be the ONLY unification candidate for the time being. So wait with the Schleswig-Holstein war, bcause until thats done they cant form Germany.

I mean colonisation did increase the standard of liveing in africa IRL, colonisation is why the african population went from less than half that of europe before the berlin conference to more than twice the european population by the world wars with barely any european settlement and the net loss of population in the congo. the standard of liveing increase just caused a massive population boom everywhere except the poorly/brutally run congo.

Nah... You can also just fight fight the danish to open there market an close before you cant make demands anymore just add conquer both Schleswig-Holsteins. BOTH will join the war if you declare a war on the Danish but only one can be conquered if u declare on Schleswig or Holstein.

I have a big question How did your budget went from -200k to +80k in one cut? Only reasonable explanation is very high taxation and incorporation of austria

Its from building, If you are exploding your economy you have to go through large swings like that. When all the construction sites are active and building you have to pay for all the materials and manpower. So you could easily go from pulling in 100k+ to suddenly being -100K and draining your reserves or having to borrow credit.

If you are using steel-framed buildings and your price of iron is extremely high, then your buildings will be empty and inefficient. By building iron mines you would strengthen the entire chain and could flip the economy.

Depends when in the video you're talking about. I might have been building government bureaucracy or barracks and other government buildings which the investment pool can't cover, or I may have raised taxes. It also could have been that there was a brief shortage of construction goods for whatever reason

@@hirocheeto7795 it is hard to convey sounds via written word. But the word "stein" tskes its hard "st" from the English stop however simultaneously making a sh sound before the t as im shoe. The "ein" part sounds like the "-ine" in fine again rather short and hard. Never will you hear a german call stein sth like an elongatet "een" sound. Because ei in an of itself actually has a sound similar to the english aye if it is spoken very brusk. And tho i do not doubt your lessons you should listen to native speakers (i am a german native speaker) on the matter regardless. They simply know better
