I wish as a culture we didn't feel the need to apologize for doing things for our significant others. Being forced to do these things is the issue, but if you enjoy it and want to do it then go for it. There is a middle ground somewhere in this mess that culturally we have yet to find. Taking care of others, male or female, isn't a bad thing. Just only do it because you want to. (sorry, end rant. yes, I know I repeated myself a bit)

words of wisdom, i find it truly depressing when a woman feels the need to justify, explain or apologise for caring for her s/o or family. How bitter has our culture become for this to be a thing, God help us. There's nothing more beautiful than loving, giving and caring for people in general, especially those we have a deep love for and devotion to.

I agree with everything you said about moving in after long distance. It’s a HUGE change.. the space isn’t just theirs or just yours anymore. It’s so nice of you you be so self aware and empathetic to what your bf is going through. My husband and I are now married but we did long distance for almost two years before we moved in and we (I) made the jump to live together. I moved in and sacrificed somethings. He was very supportive and made sure to help with the transition. Yes, he sacrificed his space.. but I moved states and left a career. I know people tend to base things on going away with someone on vacation as a make or break type of thing. It’s just is a different thing.

So now that i see you have a cocktail set. I learned a fun tip from Tik Tok regarding the cocktail mixer spoon. When you're pouring a carbonated liquid into the glass pour the liquid down the spiral straw and it won't cause the drink to foam up all over the place. It actually works 😀

Hi wow thank you for this perspective on moving in with a partner! I have been living with my boyfriend for almost 4 years now, and we just purchased our first home together and moved in to it in January. I think still over time after living with someone for a long time, it's important to keep in mind what you said about having compassion for the other person and having the perspective that we both packed up our lives as we knew them and took the risk of moving in together and you put that into words in such a perfect way! As someone in a female/female relationship, I have to disagree that there's always one person with a more masculine or more feminine energy. I think that's one of the misconceptions people in heterosexual relationships have about queer ones. Both of us having feminine energy is actually the point :) (yes, different energies can happen in queer relationships, but not always and I don't think it's necessary). just wanted to share my perspective...
