Tarom airlines are one of the few carriers that fly the baby Airbus A318, it was a nice change from the normal aircraft I fly on.
The most popular airlines on this route are Wizz Air or British airways and Ryanair. Due to a last minute ticket needed, Tarom was the cheapest option for me.
The ticket price included a free meal and drinks service, which is a nice change from low cost airlines. Though the Chicken & Pasta meal was really bad, it was still nice to be given a hot meal in economy class on a short flight in Europe.

I flew Tarom last year and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the service and food on board! Too bad you didn't like yours.

Ahh, also KLM doesnt have an wow meal, i ate one time breakfast and was purely tasteless. But the service and staff was wonderful.

When I Travel The World Personally, I’ve never had anything TERRIBLE on a plane. But I’ve had underwhelming plenty of times. Hehe. I’m trying to rack my brains but can’t remember having pasta. very good inflight service on Tarom. Wine , sekt and beer free of charge and that very clever presented hot meal. OMG when I think about EASY-BADLY JET or RYANRUINAIR. Music was eighties..so I felt very Young listening to that "song". Remember flying TAROM fron OTP into VIE continuing service to JFK on Tarom`s B-707......100 years ago..thank you

Great video WITTW! Haven't heard the best stories about Tarom but they look perfectly fine here. The idea of a hot meal is great, shame the quality was so bad. FlyFi is also a nice feature. All in all, it looks like you had a perfectly nice flight. Thanks for sharing! Brendan

Its nice to see a national airline still going in a country that has been overrun with low cost airlines, so at least its nicer than flying Wizz air in my view. I just wanted to give them a try, I can't imagine they will last much longer, but I could be wrong.

Great video. It would be interesting to know, especially on an LCC, what the ticket cost. We all know the prices go up and down, we don't hold anyone for quoting a cost, but it's a useful bit of extra info.

When I had to purchase my ticket last minute, it was cheaper to fly with Tarom than Wizz :)

I just find it very hard to make most Pasta dishes taste nice when flying, they seem to add loads of Salt.

All you get now on Tarom is a choice of "sparkling" or "still" even on a four-hour flight from Madrid. Not really a full-service airline : they do not interline baggage so you'll have to fetch it yourself and recheck it.

Wizzair books more tickets than the plane seats " just in case someone doesn t turn up for the flight", very bad Wizzair, awful, It happened to my aunt. Well done when you chose Tarom, to bad it is not advertised and romanians are not using it .

I flew Tarom in the early 90's on a Boeing 707 from New York to Bucharest then to Tel Aviv on a IL-62.when i saw that old 707 I thought we were doomed! The airport had no food was very rundown, The restroom "toilet room" stalls had no lights or toilet paper, once you closed that door it was pitch black.The other restroom upstairs had no running water or paper,so the poor ladies that did the cleaning had to constantly go up stairs with pails of water to flush the toilets.

Nowadays Henry Coanda or Bucharest international Airport is one of the biggest eastern hubs for flights. Has anything you want, from granite to Saint Gobain glass, duty free, mom and baby restrooms and delicious restaurants. In 3023 they will finish the second terminal. Schengen Entrances and Exit, Facial recognition and artificial intelligence for the public airport devices. Dude.... Was in the 90s..i know perhaps you felt bad but still. Few years after Ceausescu's revolution. What you would have expected?
