What I personally don’t like about the idea of a reversed meaning is that the card that means that could have showed up instead (instead of a ace of cups a 3 os swords, for example). With the Psychich tarot’s booklet it recommends that if for some reason a card is reversed we should pay special attention to that card because it is taking “extra effort” to turn it upright. I like that. I dunno, nothing is set on stone for me yet. Thanks for the video

Yes, I totally get what you're saying about reversals Antonio. I think that's why for me it's not a requirement to read reversals - it's a choice. Some readers, I find, have made it into something we "should" or "must" do ....and I don't agree. I think it's just one tool in our toolbox. Take care! Wray

I look at it differently. The 5 of Wands reversed for example, could mean coming to a resolution/making peace. The 7 of Wands reversed can mean giving up / not standing up for yourself enough. 7 of Swords reversed can mean finding/retrieving something. The Chariot reversed can mean car troubles. Etc. I do believe you get more out of reversals if you do it right... I'd rather have a deck of 156 cards than 78 :)

This is the best video I've seen to date on reversals. Hope to see more videos of yourself in the future. Best of luck

Like the punch line approach to trigger deeper connections with the card and its symbology. Generally adopt that approach myself, whether it is upright or reversed. In reverse, whether the energy is read as either blocked, weakened, internalised, or opposite, in my view is dependent upon the intuitive messages that are received on any given day. Whether doing a reading for yourself or somebody else, the vibes of the day, in combination with other cards in the spread, would be how I would want to read the reversals - just thinking out loud really. Like your approach of wanting to be consistent with whatever reversal meaning approach you adopt, in your case the opposite meaning approach, but to me adopting that approach ALL the time is rather fixed. I think a general consistency is a good way to look at what reversal method to adopt, but always remaining open to the intuitive vibes that get received at that point in time. Thanks for a really good presentation of how to approach reversals. Like the look of the tarot deck you are developing. Also that your channel will be exploring how you meet and talk with spirits in the night. Sounds great and looking forward to that as well as release of your deck.

Hi there: My apologies for the delay. Yes, I agree with your thoughts on reversals - it's great to have a consistent foundation and method ...but always remaining open to intuitive hits and interactions with other cards. Thank you for your thoughts regarding my tarot deck! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the variety of videos I'm posting! Thanks for watching. Take care, Wray

Smart presentation!. I'm somewhat more flexible with my interpretations relying on neighboring cards & my intuition, but I do have guidelines I follow. Not too different from your method. Thank You. 🌟

Hi Ileana! Thanks so much about your thoughts on reversals. I agree - in actual readings and when we're comfortable and familiar with the meanings, I think we allow for more influences of other cards and intuition. Thanks for watching! Wray

Brilliant, as usual!! Thank you so much, Wray!! Can't wait for your deck to be published. Is that you in The Star card, by the way?!! I'm still too much of a novice to be as comfortable as I would like to be to read reversals, although once or twice when I have included them I have experienced a deeper and more accurate reading and have been amazed at how it seems to open up the reading more! I love your method of 'cascading', and also what you say about deciding what meaning to assign to reversals and sticking to it!! I have yet to form a consistent approach to them, hence my hesitation in using them at the moment. However, after watching your video I feel more confident in making that decision, so thank you again!!

Hi Juno! Thank you so much! Wow, what positive thoughts and comments - I really appreciate it. Yes, as you work with reversals, the comfort level comes. I am not a fan of having +++ reversals in one reading. I always feel there should be a better, more clear way to get the messages. Anyway, I'm glad you feel the video will help you with your reading. Hi , do you teach tarot?
@TarotLiving5 жыл бұрын
Hi Aparna, yes I teach tarot locally for the past 5 years, however, I don't teach tarot on-line yet. I was hoping to get some classes posted on-line this year but it doesn't look like I'll have time. Maybe in 2020!
