at 35:55 when everyone said it sounded familiar, it took me a while to realize I've never heard that theme, the start is just REALLY similar to one specific part of Princess Mononoke (not the main theme, the song with the same title as the movie)

Can I just say, I really love these and I'm very happy you're doing them. I love these kinds of game shows, where a guy gets a bunch of content creators on to test their video game knowledge, but almost all of them invariably end up dead rather quickly. They usually rarely go past a season, and episodes usually have insanely long stretches in between. So having one that's going strong three seasons in, and uploading a new video every couple of months, makes me really happy.

I recently found this series, and what you've been doing here is so cool! GG to my guy Vector U! I only finished with 41 from watching at home, haha. For the creative process questions, similar to Vector, my favorite part of that is already getting addicted to my own song when it's not close to being finished (just like this past week)! The biggest challenge for me has always been trying to actually make the EDM sounds in my imagination become a reality.

I also got goosebumps at the Weight of the World song. That's such a peaceful song Mr. Toodles. The Chrono Trigger and Secrets of Evermore song would sound good mixed together I bet. I thought it was halo 3 escaping the halo ring. the dog getting in on the game was funny. I haven't even played Metriod besides Super Metroid as a kid and instantly knew it was that series. Lmao "I mean not educated. I got the band Incubus right but i couldn't pull halo 2. Vector and I were doing the same exact movement at 1:21:00 . And by typing that I just realized this is such a long video. It felt like 30 minutes honestly thats how fun it is to watch

The weirdest segment was the RUN! where I got 3 areas correct but I got the game wrong? The Halo I guessed Halo 3, Sky Temple I guessed Prime 1 and Shadow Moss I guessed MGS2.

Man I was just thinking about this series when it showed up in my recommended. Glad to see it again. I said out loud near the end "Tarv no way you made Sonic R-ms." and then you did and I felt pain for that cut. After Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8 and P3 Reload I was shocked you didn't round out the batch of games that released within like 3 days with a track from Granblue Relink. That game's ost is so good. Through some carries on the second half and guesses on the first, I think I totaled around 56 points, so not the worst for being lost half the time. Happy to see Carlos and Jack on the show, and can't wait for next episode. Edit: I forgot the final round's points. 84 was the final total, I'll take 56 for my memory problems

But the track name doesn’t mention a location and instead the bike part, so no points there.) R4: 19 points (guessed MS-DOS on the Sega CD. Btw that specific DS start-up is for the DSi. Figured out Jaguar by that roar lmao) R5: 2 points (do not expect to do well since I’m a Nintendo main. Also this round was far too short for a legitimate comeback to be possible!!! And dead last with buzzers lol, way too scared to buzz in. I got 6 points probably stolen by Carlos from a connection (he stole so many points from me in total XD), I feel like you get way too many points for a connection lol (okay, back here after seeing the crazy points in later rounds lol, maybe not so crazy) Bonus Round: Carlos also stole 2 more points from me for buzzing in like 100ms before me on Zelda! Phew, rough one this time on my end. My maximum potential is capped at 145 for this one, and I almost guessed Final Fantasy 9 for three separate Game Over themes before realizing "no that's stupid, you don't know what FF9's game over theme sounds like". Excellent bit of competition though, before and afters were GREAT on this one, that last one got me in the soul where I didn't recognize the first song, couldn't think of the second song, got it, and then tried fitting together something that didn't work in the first half. Just a great feeling of ignorance all around there!

I got 96, although I guess it’s not really comparable since I don’t have to battle for the buzzer (everyone’s scores would be way higher if they could all get points for the console startup round I think). One thing I would suggest is that you consider changing the ‘choose the console’ catch-up mechanic somehow. We’re often in this weird position where none of the options are good options, and since you keep the options which were previously unchosen that means that Dreamcast is going to be there forever. I’d either cycle things out if they go several episodes without being picked, or just change the format there

Going back through all these months later and all I can say is damn. I'm really good at losing cuz I nailed all the patreon songs 😎 Also, I think this was the first month that I got to submit a song. 10 out of 10. Totally worth the patreon give this man your money and also because I didn't do it when the episode originally came out. Go play secret of evermore. It's a very good game. And it's got a lot of history behind it that people don't realize. As in it was one of the first games that the company that eventually became square enix gave to the US group and also it's Jeremy's Soules first video game soundtrack It's essentially a slightly stranger secret of mana based off of that gameplay style
