I cannot stress how much I love that Husky guessed the right Monster Hunter by attaching it to the Khezu, which is not only NOT in Tri, it's the only monster across the entire series that has no music whatsoever. Will never get tired of this show, always an absolute delight to watch.

I got a kick out of the Dream Course guess because I almost locked into that but realized it was from Avalanche, and I also enjoyed them all getting close to the XC1 Valak Mountain theme (I believe it was the day theme when the night theme is more popular). I'm a bit disturbed by Tarvould agreeing that Antonblast and Pizza Tower are the same game, I've seen both in action and there's some unique elements in each. I knew the Chrono Trigger song in the Patreon round was from the DS version because I remembered it was a song specifically added in that after being an unused in the original. That Cold Man rendition messed with my brain, I guess I only ever heard the Super Famicom/SNES version before because I had never experience it with that level of crunchiness. Very proud of Husky for getting the PLvsAA song in the remix round, I knew it because despite not having played it, I knew the first case had remixes/remakes of the original Ace Attorney OST. I almost lost point on Indestructible because I had 2 wrong ideas but I couldn't figure out a lean so I just abstained from picking one. Also I thought the DDLC song could be from Bendy because of ink but when I heard the song name I knew what it was. I only have 4 words to express that flub on Bury the Light: What's Jyggy Thinking About? I nailed the crap out of that last before & after, I actually knew of both songs already and as such making the names fit was zero effort. Jyggy I'll level with you. It's true. The entire patreon sits around and goes "so what is your most favorite obscure JRPG?" We sit there and snicker, knowing no one will ever get our favorite tracks from Disgaea 3, Cladun: This Is An RPG, Bahamut Lagoon, and Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax, and knowing those are just level 2 of the obscurity window, knowing there are deeper holes we can prowl. You know not the horrid abyss we relish. It is a desolate wasteland of questionable taste. You should come in, we have better music than Zelda. Except maybe Wind Waker, that's a good one. I think this is the first time a comment beat me! My best of is a mere 214, including perfects on the TTS and Lyrical rounds. Was really enamored with that Stunt Race FX song; mistook it for Pop'n Twinbee for a bit, but that's a groovy little soundfont!

I actually played no new games this year, only old ones I missed and some familiar classics. Of the games I played for the first time this year (Majora's Mask, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Metroid Prime Remastered and Neo: The World Ends With You) I believe I would have to give it to Majora's Mask, although I believe that all these games are amazing. Finally, PL vs AA gets some recognition. That games music goes unreasonably hard.

You know how you have a vague memory of something that you're not 100% sure existed, but you're determined that it is. That's my music selection this week lmao. It's from a game I played like two times 15+ years ago that I just have some very vague memories of. I think it might be cool to add some of our favorite game scores that you don't think many others may know of. For me the best example would be the arcade game Lord of Vermilion IV by Taku Iwasaki who is better known for his anime work on Jojo, Bungo Stray Dogs, Persona Trinity Soul, and The Irregular at Magic High School. It has two Lotus Juice songs the first of which "Let's Get It" is one of his all time best. The game has so much variety of music and its absolujtely one of my all time favorites. I also recommend getting into the rest of the series. The first game was scored by Nobuo Uematsu, the second by Hitoshi Sakimoto, so FF fans will likely enjoy them. The third game is by a group of composers called Tachytelic and is mostly electronic music and it's enhanced update Lord of Vermilion Re:3 features music by Shinji Hosoe of Ridge Racer and Tekken fame.
