This is an official version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with Sonic & Knuckles locked on it. Here, the title character is replaced by his rival, Knuckles, who has his signature abilities of climbing and gliding carried over to this version. Other than that, the levels are unchanged. If you haven't seen Sonic the Hedgehog 2 completed before, you may wish to do so before seeing what a character with spiked knuckles and gliding can accomplish.
Takz15x ( tasvideos.org/... ) and ShiningProdigy9000 ( tasvideos.org/... ) save a little over 52 seconds over the previous run thanks to a couple of new tricks and strategies.
For more Knuckles in Sonic 2, we have a run ( tasvideos.org/... ) of him just beating the game as fast as possible without having to collect the Chaos Emeralds and a run ( tasvideos.org/... ) where he collects nearly every ring in the game. We also have a 100% run ( tasvideos.org/... ) with Sonic and Tails instead.

Another difference from regular Sonic 2 is that here you keep the amount of rings you have after doing the special stages, thus making a run with Knuckles faster than with Sonic or Tails.
