Fun fact this wasn’t made by Accolade. While they were working on Bubsy II for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis another team worked on a Bubsy game for the Jaguar. Bubsy II was released in October 1994 and the Jaguar game just two months later.

Man. I actually really enjoyed the first Bubsy on the SNES (I know, I'm one of the few!), and have really fond childhood memories of it, but I never played any of the others. Decided to check out this TAS to see what the one NOBODY ever talks about was like (at least Bubsy 3D gets discussed and presented as a counterexample of how to do 3D platforming; I think the creators and gamers alike have just collectively forgotten this one even ever existed!), and like... were they even trying, at this point? I can feel the dead soullessness from every moment of this TAS. There is no inspiration or pride on display whatsoever in any of these level or enemy designs... and certainly not in the music, either! In fact, the music is the one thing I sort of expected would be kind of worthwhile here, since the first game had a surprisingly bumpin' soundtrack... but this is nearly unlistenable! I can honestly say that I'VE composed better music than this... and I'm no composer! This poor franchise/mascot has really been through the wringer, huh? I feel like this is the actual low point of the series -- even Bubsy 3D shows more inspiration than this, given that it predates Mario 64 and like, you get the sense they tried their best with it. With this one... they did not try their best. They really didn't even seem to try at all.

I remember seeing screenshots of it in a Game Fan magazine back in '94. I liked Bubsy 1 and 2 and was pissed that the only way to play this one was by getting a gimmicky console

This game is so uncanny. It has everything to be a good game, the tas even makes it look fun, but we all know it's not.

game feel is everything. that is, the physics and responsiveness of controls mainly. watching someone else play doesn't really convey that part

Bubsy 1 is a competent if rough around the edges platformer with too much speed. Bubsy 2 has too many mazes. Bubsy 3D had the misfortune of being designed before Mario 64. Bubsy Jaguar has the problems of Bubsy 2 with the single hit deaths of 1. It also gains nothing by being on the Jaguar.

I swear even in a TAS you are exposed to just how unbelievably AWFUL the level design for these stages is. Nothing about this looks remotely fun to play...

why wasn't this game ported to genesis and snes too? that is to say there are a lot of emulators for snes and genesis for phones and computers, however the jaguar emulator must necessarily be played on a computer, the problem is that I don't have a computer, here to play it I only have the phone but that the first jaguar emulator which was highly disgusting as an emulator that couldn't even be called an app, ugh I wish they would create a new jaguar emulator but they are good this time (same complaint for zool 2)
