It’s hyper if he changes color and goes quite fast, the hyper sonic you might be talking about is the white design. Which looks kinda bad, and it looks better if you use multiple pastel colors (yellow blue pink), because if not then he’s just a white super sonic

You can button mash 2 (maybe even all 3) jump buttons to rev up faster. Do that for a full second or 2, and you should get a full power (or near full power) spin dash. A player won't be able to button mash as fast as in this video though.

Someone should make an extention of this mod that includes the bosses from Sonic CD and Sonic 3K. Might be a big ask but considering hacks like Sonic Delta 3MB and Sonic Classic Heroes exist which mix elements from all 3 games, it shouldn’t be impossible
