Even though you state the reason for waiting, it would be really cool to see an example of what happens if the time is even a little off. If you went 1 second earlier, what changes to make the uphill not happen?

almost every time, you'll just miss the first pole and go straight into the water. most of the time when you get the pole bounce, the angle is wrong when you jump back to the grass
