Well done, IMO the subject is illustrated clearly. I always recommend to look at the the block diagram when in doubt, sadly not everyone are familiar with schematics so your tutorials are precious.

Each of your tutorials are so clear, focused and efficient. The T-12 was far more complex than I bargained for, and the manual is a bit awkward & overwhelming for the uninitiated like me, so your tutorials are a must for us. I particularly appreciate that you, like all great teachers, patiently repeat information in multiple ways in order for important points to sink in. You are so skilled at anticipating confusion that it’s as if you are answering a question I wanted to ask. You’ve helped me master this amazing stand-alone mini-studio. Thanks again.

I use the SUB out into a tube headphone amp. and the main out into powered monitors.

That was really informative. thank you.. I am a bit late to the party but I do have a question. I am wondering whether I could use the model 12 in this way. what I want to do is to be able to play e.g. 4 pre recorded tracks out of it in simultaneously in playback mode.( from its s.d. card ? NOT a computer) .then the fifth track i want to send to an effects unit .. lets say a delay.. ..manually 'play' the delay live and then route it back into empty inputs on the model 12 to blend into the main mix.. is this possible ? .. how is it achieved ?..is it by using an aux send ? I have tried to find out but haven't come across an answer yet.. thank you
@euphemiaadamson837522 күн бұрын
Oh and just to add that the fifth track I wish to send out and fx is also a recorded track , not a track inputted from an external source.. hope this makes sense.
@RecordingStudio921 күн бұрын
I going to assume you have five pre-recorded tracks on the SD card. T1 to T4 tracks have MAIN button down so they are sent to the main bus. T5 track does not have the MAIN button down. Use the AUX 1 of T5 to send it out to an external FX unit and return it to T7/8. T7/8 has switch set to LIVE and REC enabled. T7/8 has MAIN button pressed. Press play to practice and when ready, press REC to record T7/8 while T1 to T5 play.

How would you do this with a stereo output and stereo effect like the Meris LVX? ☺️
@RecordingStudio914 күн бұрын
By using the SUB output. Set those channels to only SUB and no MAIN. The returns make sure they are set to MAIN only. PS. You can use the L mono in on the LVX too.

I wish aux 2 was pre fader. Very frustrating to need the sliders up to get a signal.

I wish this explained how to do it. In all my years of making & recording music, I never even tried this until a couple years ago. I have 2 mixers & it won't work when following the instructions in any video I watch trying to figure it out. I don't even really need it, but it's frustrating because I'd like to try it & so far haven't found even one video or forum post or Website with instructions that work. 🫤

So can you used two different effects (reverb and delay) simultaneously in one channel? or toy just have access to one built in effect per channel? thanks
@RecordingStudio9 Жыл бұрын
Yes, AUX1 for external FX and AUX2 for the internal. Note that there are no dedicated AUX1 returns and you have to use one of the mono or stereo channels, depending on the FX gear used.

hello everything is fine? Could you ask me a question about another subject? I always watch your videos, I have a model 12 and that helped me a lot. I would like to know if there is a way to use the 7/8 and 9/10 inputs in a "Mono" way because for me it would be more useful that way. I used it with the P10 cable and the recording was only on one side L or R, this hindered my recording. Thank you very much in advance
@RecordingStudio98 ай бұрын
If you plug the cable into only input 7 or 9, then it will be mono, as both 7&8 or 9&10 will have same signal
@sawssman9654 ай бұрын
If you have stereo external fx, can you just plug left and right into both aux ports for stereo?
@RecordingStudio94 ай бұрын
No, as both Aux1 & Aux2 tap from the same channel (ch7/8 & 9/10), unless you use two mono channels and pan them left and right and use Aux1 for left and Aux2 for right, and return signal to ch7/8.

How would I add reverb to my headphones when tracking vocal?
@RecordingStudio96 ай бұрын
Use FX2 knob on the vocal channel to send to the internal FX. Use the FX fader to adjust the effects return amount.

Is it possible to record effects like delay on a vocal? I have an external effects loop set up on Aux 1 but it doesn't record. I think I'll try an insert. Probably the only way I'll be able to record with the vocal affect audible on playback. Any other thoughts as to how I can route this?
@RecordingStudio98 ай бұрын
Insert socket on Ch 1 or 2 is the only way to record a track with external FX.

@@RecordingStudio9 Hi. I cannot get effects in my monitors, even though I can hear / adjust effects in my mains. My monitors work otherwise. Beyond Aux 2 channel knobs and the Aux 2 master send knob turned up, here are my settings: (1) Effects fader is slid up. (2) Aux 1 button next to Effects fader is pressed down. (3) Aux 1 dry/wet mix knob is turned clockwise to anywhere from 12pm-5pm. If it matters, my monitor is connected to my mixer via a standard M-F XLR cable connected to a M XLR to M 1/4 TRS cable, and my firmware was recently updated. Any thoughts? Thanks so much.

@royfish8522 there is Send to Aux1 knob next to the FX select button, turn it clockwise
@royfish85224 ай бұрын
@@RecordingStudio9 Thanks, @RecordingStudio9 . Yes, I did turn that knob clockwise, even all the way up to full (5pm) and it had no affect on adding FX to Aux 1. So, again, my FX work in Mains, my Monitors work, but they are dry (no FX), even despite Effects fader up, Aux 1 button (next to fader) pressed down, and Send to Aux 1 dial turned clockwise. ?? Puzzling as your video was excellent. So I am just stumped why it's not working.
