This is UNBELIEVABLY helpful. Thank you so much. It helped me figure out live sound for a gig with only 10 minutes to spare on the Tascam

Darn good explanation and very clear. I have been wondering how to get more out of the model 12 and your videos are gold! Thank you for making them.

I've been using one channel of sub for vocal monitor, this is extremely helpful, looks like a good way to get a mono output. Thank You!

Well done, IMO the subject is illustrated clearly. I always recommend to look at the the block diagram when in doubt, sadly not everyone are familiar with schematics so your tutorials are precious.

I use the SUB out into a tube headphone amp. and the main out into powered monitors.

So can you used two different effects (reverb and delay) simultaneously in one channel? or toy just have access to one built in effect per channel? thanks
@RecordingStudio97 ай бұрын
Yes, AUX1 for external FX and AUX2 for the internal. Note that there are no dedicated AUX1 returns and you have to use one of the mono or stereo channels, depending on the FX gear used.

hello everything is fine? Could you ask me a question about another subject? I always watch your videos, I have a model 12 and that helped me a lot. I would like to know if there is a way to use the 7/8 and 9/10 inputs in a "Mono" way because for me it would be more useful that way. I used it with the P10 cable and the recording was only on one side L or R, this hindered my recording. Thank you very much in advance
@RecordingStudio93 ай бұрын
If you plug the cable into only input 7 or 9, then it will be mono, as both 7&8 or 9&10 will have same signal

hey.. i am trying to hook up a limiter/compressor to the effect loop. for the 2nd effect section. how would i go about achieving that so it can be controlled on each channel.

Not sure what you mean, but this video might help you better understand audio processing methods. kzbin.info/www/bejne/opuQYWajd5ybgJI

Is it possible to record effects like delay on a vocal? I have an external effects loop set up on Aux 1 but it doesn't record. I think I'll try an insert. Probably the only way I'll be able to record with the vocal affect audible on playback. Any other thoughts as to how I can route this?
@RecordingStudio93 ай бұрын
Insert socket on Ch 1 or 2 is the only way to record a track with external FX.
@late4suppa13 ай бұрын
@@RecordingStudio9 when I ran an insert into channel 1 it cut off recording for some reason. I have the computer playback moved to channel 9/10

How would I add reverb to my headphones when tracking vocal?

Use FX2 knob on the vocal channel to send to the internal FX. Use the FX fader to adjust the effects return amount.

I wish aux 2 was pre fader. Very frustrating to need the sliders up to get a signal.

I wish this explained how to do it. In all my years of making & recording music, I never even tried this until a couple years ago. I have 2 mixers & it won't work when following the instructions in any video I watch trying to figure it out. I don't even really need it, but it's frustrating because I'd like to try it & so far haven't found even one video or forum post or Website with instructions that work. 🫤

Is the Aux Out Stereo or Mono sends?
@RecordingStudio9Ай бұрын
Aux out on mixers is almost always mono.
