At 3:39 there is an outstanding sketch of Thoth adjusting the aerial on his radio. Great video and a beautiful book. I picked up a copy after watching and have been adoring the artwork in it. Taschen really do art reproduction like no one else.

Thanks for all the reviews Dennis. I've created quite the library off of your recommendations alone. These are the 1st copies I bought. I hope there's a kabbalistic edition released. I don't want the plant magick but I can't help but think my taschen collection is incomplete without it. My TikTok is still going CRAZY thanks to one of the videos I shared on my page. Who knew esoterica would be sooooo popular on tiktok! Lol. There is definitely a space for you and with the following you have I know you'll get access to the creator fund sooner rather than later. 10000 followers I think and you get it. Please make a page. I truly love tarot cards, my spiritual journey started with me trying to understand everything in the picture, and I kept searching and searching until I was introduced to the tree of life. It is the art of life in my opinion.

I'm thinking of picking up the Alchemy and Mysticism book, as well. It's only 25 bucks Canadian! These 2 were 50 each, but even at that price, what a steal! The art, articles and presentation is top notch.

So true! My kids love the Tarot cards I have.... they play allot with them and make stories based on their art.... and they ask me about stars at night...and their astrology. I m so happy because it does make them more conscious of what humanity is :)

Just found the Astrology book at a local shop. I love the vibrant art, but the information presented is a very basic and a general overview. Great for someone completely new to Astrology or Tarot. I just found myself thinking, "Wow, that's ALL they wrote??" In a couple sections.

@@astoriarosewood5135 I would say it is definitiv more art focused. The essays are nice and informative, but I find them too short and not rich enough of information for my taste. Some of the authors text are very... idk not that interessting imo. I think I wished for more historical and social analysis (there is still a lot of it in it!) but on the other hand this is not supposed to book for students or something. As I said I wished for more but for the price I would say it's fair. I still enjoy(ed) them a lot and they look beautiful!

So far I just have Taschen’s book on alchemy and mysticism. Haven’t gotten close to reading it yet, but I look forward to it! I feel like it’s one of those books you can probably inflict severe head trauma with if you were to throw it at somebody.

No comparison. The Taschen book is an art book with some good information. Lon's Book is an in-depth adventure of discovery.

Denis, don't you feel that these books are a bit lightweight? eg the astrology book basically covers the starsigns and the planets, the same information which you can get out of a newspaper. the essays are really not deep. I was quite disappointed there is no info on casting a horoscope either for yourself of for 'portent event's ! just a few pictures of venus, mars, aries etc and the usual descriptions about mars being the god of war etc, aries is firesign etc etc. the tarot book is equally 'light' - tarot lite - really it's just pictures without any substance. the books are beautiful, but actually, does it matter that tarot is beautiful at all? doesnt it rather matter more that you actually can use tarot effectively, practise, learn, divine with some accuracy and perhaps incorporate tarot into magic if that''s what you want, not simply look at a few pretty pictures of the justice card from different decks?

Oh, for sure! Let's not forget what these are: art books with accurate information attached, definitely not textbooks for advanced study. The information here is enough for most laypeople, and even most magic practitioners, but by no means enough for an astrologer, or even an aspiring astrologer (unless it's their very first book, looking for a flavour to decide if they want to START studying). For what it is, I think it's just right.
