I think these types of weapons are perfect for those of us who have to commute to non-permissive environments (i.e. NYC). Maybe not the pistol form factor as I imagine that bystanders would panic at the sight of it. Not so much the Bolt version which looks like a flashlight.

I will stick to the workhorse taser X26 thank you☺

Why did they not add a green laser and raise the price? I am buying this because I carry a Taser every day. But I am not happy about it. I'm all for the new designs, but I needed more than just a facelift. I own three of the Taser pulses, which is no different. If you take that much time, make it worth it. I know it's not your fault, as you're just reviewing, but you're the first review out. We appreciate you sharing.

A green laser would have been a nice option!

So this would work if you are dealing with one single criminal. Usually criminals don’t do crime solo….

I thought taser was technically less lethal whereas something like pepper spray is less than lethal (what we used to call nonlethal). Meaning I wouldn’t fire a taser unless I feared for my life but I might use pepper spray if I was in fear of injury less than death.
@martelltraininggroup16 күн бұрын
I've seen it classified as both. Although neither are usually lethal, they can be depending on the condition of the person targeted. NJ Attorney General has defined Tasers and pepper spray/projectiles as "less-lethal."

Not legal in NJ !!! Because it shoots with a charge, so only use as a non shooting device.

Incorrect. You obviously didn’t watch the video. There was a court decision saying it was legal and a directive from the AG saying the same.

it is not a gunpowder charge, it is a nitrogen charge.

I personally think it's a bad idea to carry a non-lethal AND a CCW firearm because the courts will tear you apart if you end up using your firearm to save your life. Lawyers will have a field day asking why you didn't just use the non-lethal to end the threat, then you'll be fond guilty of murder when all you did was legally defend yourself. Better to just have a CCW firearm since it is both far more effective in a life and death scenario as well as (theoretically) safer to defend in court.

I hate to call you out on this because I wouldn't say I like drama on the internet. I'm no keyboard warrior, I'm just stating a fact. What you said in the comment above is incorrect. You should check on actual statistics of how juries handle this before you put something like this online to mislead people. This data can be found on most firearm insurance websites or an attorney's homepage. If you are in fear for your life in 39 states, you have the right to use a less lethal or lethal based on what is happening at the moment. It has been proven many times over through D.A. and jury decisions. You should be brave enough to remove that comment before many believe it. Again, please do the research. It's straightforward to find on the internet. Any reputable lawyer or insurance company has the info available.

@@blackpowderpapa if you don't think that a NJ prosecutor will do anything and everything to imprison a ccw user the first chance they get in order to say "see, bruen was a mistake!" then you're not clued in on how corrupt the legal system is in blue states. All other statistics regarding defense cases and gun prosecutions are irrelevant because a ccw case in NJ post-bruen decision is charting new ground since, thus far, no ccw holder has used lethal force for defense in any case yet. It's safer to assume someone who uses lethal force with a ccw will be adjudicated guilty in order to prove a point against 2A supporters due to the politics of this liberal state. If a corrupt DA sees that someone had pepper spray and a gun but decided to use the gun first, they'll make a jury think that their decision to use lethal force was excessive and unnecessary when you had other options; they won't care if the situation legitimately called for a gun instead of spray, they'll just see you as a killer and the ccw system as dangerous.
