USCCA offers legal representation and attorneys fees in justifiable cases. NJ is the only state in the union that has outlawed joining this group. They publish Conceal Carry Magazine. I E-mailed with there publisher as many calls and mail to join. No go in NJ. They are suing.

Carrying concealed where alcohol is served in my opinion is not a problem. Although I think it becomes a problem when the person carrying starts drinking alcohol.

I’ll bet that 75% of the people who can carry in NJ don’t. Of the 25% that do, only carry occasionally. NJ laws have made carry a legal mine field that many can’t afford to navigate and worry about being locked up while providing for their families.

A person shouldn't lose their right to protect themself because other people are drinking. That actually sounds like a legit reason why you might need a gun. A person also shouldn't lose their right to protect themself if they have a drink with dinner. Even if someone is completely fit shaced, they still shouldn't lose the right to protect themself. Their judgment may be off, but the same laws about murder still apply. You can't take action against somebody because you think they might break a law. By the way, I don't even drink or do drugs. This is just common sense gun laws.

We actually NEED LIABILITY INSURANCE and can't GET IT. 😢 Murph chased all the gun liability insurance carriers out of NJ, and none of them have yet to come back. If you're going to carry, and if you have to neutralize a threat and shoot someone and have no gun liability coverage, you are going to be sued and if you have to pay a lawyer or a judgement were screwed. $$$$

It's a weird one because "I don't think" murph is keeping them out yet they won't come back. Hmmm … Mr. Martell …. The real question/story in NJ, is “Is it really worth carrying in NJ - when most of the State is ‘sensitive areas’?” All that money, training, paperwork, for ….??? Unless you travel through very dangerous (non-sensitive) areas, or maybe your job requires it. Anyway, I’m all for ‘carry’… but it seems like lots of folks may be sending $$$ to Murphy, for no good reason. Then again, it’s their money.

Check tbis out. The keyport firemans fair,ia in a big parking lot. They have a beer truck and u can but a beer and walk around the fair with it. NO GUN. Tbe highlands clamfest is in a lot. They have a beer garden wede u can but a beer but have to stay in a designated area. To me that tells i can carry if i avoid the beer garden. . . But according to evan nappon. There is het to be a test case and u dont want to be the first ine so if there is alcohol there avoid it completely

The first thing i want to say is, we don’t need a law to tell us not to drink and carry we are adults if you go out to a place to drink DONT carry, if you go somewhere where people drink and your NOT gonna drink then you should be able to carry because your not a child your an adult and should be trusted to be treated as such by big daddy government. Second thing what if you dont drink why cant you be around people that do drink and carry for protection. (Not against the people that drink necessarily but any threat at all) your honestly not even allowed to use the damn thing to protect yourself until your literally about to be dead anyway if you read the use of force law/layout. They basically still have it damned if you do damned if you dont. I want to have my permit to carry no matter what and exercise my right especially now that we can to protect myself and my loved ones, but it feels so hopeless.....

It’s incredibly frustrating that they’re making it hard for people actually TRYING to follow the law to exercise their constitutionally affirmed right to self-defense. Especially when we’re seeing these same government officials being soft on actual criminals. What an inversion of justice it would be to have someone trying to follow the law make a mistake and be punished more harshly than an actual criminal. It makes my blood boil thinking about it.

I was of the same thinking but my purchase permit was approved in 60 days and permit to carry was approved even faster. ( it’s all handled by individual local precinct now depending on where you live) so the process it’s a lot quicker and smoother than I expected.

Got my ccw approved in 2weeks. I couldn't believe it because it took them 3 months to issue my original purchaser permit. And about 2 months for every permit ive applied for. But yea it's not as hard as it once was prior to 2020 just expensive which is also ridiculous. 200 for the ccw qualification class then 200 for the carry application basically so its 150 to the state then 50 to the local municipality.... and as of right now it 200 to recertify every 2 yrs.

Steve thanks for your content, very informative as always. The whole alcohol rule is BS, if you're not drinking you should be able to carry in a restaurant in my opinion. You can bet the illegal person carrying doesn't care about any laws.
