YES! The music was amazing in this movie and definitely heightened the suspense!!!! I especially loved the music when the dog showed up at the birthday party and when the priest was running towards the church

I am so happy that you finally reacted to the omen. This is like my all-time favorite horror movie. Also, when the prequel movie, the first omen comes out, I think you guys should check that one out too. That movie was actually a worthy prequel. It was honestly surprisingly a really outstanding well directed movie. It takes place before the events of the original, and it basically shows how Damien was conceived and who his mother really was. Mainly what I really love about this movie is the creepy atmosphere and the suspense and the music. I don’t think this movie would’ve been nearly as scary or effective without the music. Also, this movie was composed by Jerry Goldsmith, and this movie became his only Oscar win. All and all the movie is just so haunting and dreadful and that’s what I love about it and also the shot of Damien smiling at the camera. You just think to yourself the future has never looked so grim. Not only that but the actor who played Damien I mean, the kid was literally a perfect casting choice because of how creepy he looked, but mainly the reason why he was smiling at the cameras because he was like trying not to laugh and the Director Richard Donner was behind the camera telling him don’t you dare laugh.

Ooooohhhh the prequel does sound good! I'm very intrigued! We will definitely be doing that one as well as the sequels. This movie got me hooked! I 💯 agree with you on the suspense and the music. It made it wayyyyy better! I especially loved the music when the dog first appeared at the birthday party and when the priest was running towards the church during the storm!

@@tashatipton2141 did you know that the production of this film was cursed? it is believe that demons were interfering with the production of the film, causing a lot of accidents deaths and suicide. It all started in 1975 before production of the film began Gregory Peck’s Son took a revolver and blew his brains out and the reasoning for his suicide remains of mystery. Also, the producer, the Director and Gregory Peck boarded a plane to London to begin shooting the film and the plane was struck by lightning twice in a row, and the engine caught on fire, but luckily they landed safely. A animal keeper that worked at the Safari park, got savage killed by a tiger. And the Rottweiler that they use in the movie behaved as if they were possessed by demons. And as the dogs were attacking the stuntman, they ended up getting badly injured by the dogs. Also, a special effect guy who created the beheading scene Was in a bad car accident as he was making his way to a town called Ommen And he had somebody in the passenger seat, and that person died the same way Keith Jennings was killed by decapitation, and it all happened near a sign that said Ommen 6.66 km away. All and all they believe that demons were interfering with the production of the film because the devil didn’t want the movie to be made. What do you think? Do you think they’re really was a curse and there really was a demonic power at work within the film or was it all just a series of coincidences? I mean honestly honestly I believe that when you Make a movie that are based on the themes of evil, and when you deal in areas that you have no clue about you probably will have some serious problems. They were even warned at first that they would have some serious problems if they make this movie because the thing is about the devil is he likes to work in secrecy and when you try to take away his cloak of invisibility, he’s not gonna want that to happen and do anything to prevent anybody from trying to expose him.

I know some people get spooked because of the spirituality of the movie, because it's so heavy. I share this so people can feel less spooked. I love this movie, it's so fun yet so dark. Liked the reaction. The gal on the left I could tell really got into it on many of the scenes. You have to watch Omen II. I think it is a worthy sequel with another famous old-time actor who plays Gregory Peck's wealthy industrialist brother, who adopts Damien. It wasn't as successful as this original, but it was produced very well, continuing the story of Damien coming of age in a private military school.

This is why people need to watch the older horror movies to because. They do what most newer horror movies don't do that is actually tell an forces on good story telling. To build up the suspension they are not all about a body count. To quote Robert Englund you may know him as the original Freddy Krueger. He says on in interviews and things. That the older movies take their time to tell a actual story. So you get to know the characters before shit hits the fan Robert Englunds own words. But most newer horror movies are all about cheep jump-scares an the body count. The story plot doesn't matter the characters don't matter. Because its all about the body count. Then funny thing when you said after the mother fell I hope he gets his head stuck. On one audio commentary with the director he said the child actor actual did get his head stuck. So yea head did get his head stuck but its not in the movie. For example the Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey. Just for one example basically most newer writers an directors. Don't know how to write an direct a good story anymore. Granted Winnie Pooh Blood and Honey is independent movie but still it is a writers and a director. Because compare that to all the hard work that Damien Leone is. Putting into the Terrifier 2016 an after movies its a long prophecy story playing out. Is there a high body count yeas but thats the point. Art is a sadistic psychopath killer that won't stop killing unless he is stopped. So to truly show that you need to show how he will just kill everyone he comes across. Until he is stopped. Then the prophecy part makes it more then a normal slasher killer movie. Because its basically heaven vs hell supernatural good vs supernatural evil not just a normal easily to kill psychopath. Then this movie had alot of deaths around it. Like for example the private plane scene that was filmed a later then it was supposed to be. Because the airline said they had something booked already. But if they would do it the next day they would get a discount so they agreed. Buy it turned out the original flight involved the pilots wife and kids an there was a accident. Were the pilot lost his wife and kids on that flight so yea that happened the. Day that they whore originally supposed to shoot that stuff on the private plane. So basically they filmed it after the original pilot lost his wife and family the day before. So to say this movie was cursed is a understatement.

Damien controls animals from Hell as one of them(The jackal) was involved in his conception, earthly animals hate him because they sense the evil in him which is why they become violent in his presence.

I’m glad to see and hear that you two really enjoy watching this 1976 classic horror film! The Omen is such a great movie! Richard Donner did a fantastic job directing this movie and honestly he’s a freaking genius since he also directed The Goonies, Superman and II, Scrooged, and the Lethal Weapon franchise to name just a few. It’s also a very well acted film from beginning to end and the Academy Award Winning Score by Jerry Goldsmith is in my opinion the highlight of the movie whenever I’m not watching it but rather listening to the soundtrack on a weekly basis. #TheOmen #RichardDonner #GregoryPeck #LeeRemick #DavidWarner #JerryGoldsmith 🎥🎬🏆

Some horror trivia for you this movie was plagued with literal omens, many freak accidents and deaths occurred during the filming of this movie. Craziest incident with someone working on the movie was flying a small plane which they were forced to crash land in the city ended up hitting just one vehicle but that one vehicle was the man's wife and kid killing both.

Gregory Peck`s tears in the climax were real, his IRL son committed suicide in the middle of filming, also crew members got struck by lightning and in plane accidents much like the ones in the Film. The baboon and Doberman attack scenes at the zoo were also real. Much like The Exorcist, the film set was said to be cursed although Director Richard Donner, an avowed atheist, chalked the series of misfortunes up to strange coincidences, he did have Real Life Catholic exorcists on the set and wear a crucifix whilst filming just in case though.

His son had committed suicide before Peck was even offered this role. Richard Donner speaks of it in the documentary. He wanted Gregory Peck but was hesitant to send him the script because of his sons recent suicide, he considered sending a script where a father tries to kill his son may be too insensitive. Peck's agent persuaded him to do so as he felt Peck was sinking into despair not working in the wake of his sons death and fortunately, Peck liked the script and agreed to play Robert Thorn. Have to point out that the dogs in the film are Rottweilers, not Dobermans. Rottweilers are far more beautiful and stocky, Doberman are skinny with Greyhound type bodies and much longer snouts although identical colouring in their coats.

This is such classic but this movie was cursed because Gregory Peck was flying to London his plane was strucked by an lightening plus the part when they took him to the zoo when the baboons was going crazy it was actually real......I saw it on this show called Cursed films The Exorcist was also in one episode same with the poltergeist films then I saw the Wizard of oz episode I didn't know the director slapped Judy Garland...

@@kevaunmitchell1316 Actually on the audio commentary for the movie when it comes to the part. With the baboon the why say they tried to get them to go after the car multiple times. They only got them to do it by basically having the animal trainer tranquilized for alpha male. Then they took it into the car so basically they were trying to rescue. Their leader but it did wake up an grabbed the actress hair.

the remake didn't have the same music. that alone makes the original so much better. plus, you gotta give it to Gregory Peck; this is the same guy from Roman Holiday
