Exactly how I run my Tashkent. I have it up to 16 percent fire chance though. I've never got so much hate mail in my life.

I want the Tashkent, I really do but I'm still on Gnevny, pulled it out yesterday after not touching it for months and nope, can't do it. The glacial turret traverse drives me nuts. For such a gun focused line the turret traverse that some battleships laugh at is just a deal breaker. To have to grind all the way through tier 7 just to get turrets that are only halfway horrible....

Why the purest gunboats in the line have such a glaring handicap exactly in their guns is an ongoing mystery. That being said staying at range and using Trubs with twist and track does mitigate it by quite a bit.

@@scarlattist Yeah, a big part of my problem is I play my DD's aggressively. Stealth builds on pretty much all of them. I either aggressively scout/cap bases or hunt other DD's. The Russians need to be played like mini cruisers kiting around shooting stuff and even with Trubs and Madden as inspiration you can easily outturn the guns.

It helps a lot to use twist n track on Trubetskoy. That’ll improve turret traverse. Also use the turret traverse mod in slot one instead of aiming systems. It will increase the reload a little bit, but you can offset that with a Madden inspiration if you have him. It won’t make the turrets turn as fast as other nation’s DDs, but it will make a big difference

Helluva game man! I've discounted the value of PWF skill because of the hit to damage dealt, and I generally hunt enemy destroyers in my Tashkent. May give it try after seeing this. Thanks!

I discounted it for a long time too. And it definitely does hurt against DDs. But the Tashkent isn’t good in knife fight with or without that skill. So if you stick to your advantage and keep at range, then really it’s manageable.

Basically Tashkent has like 3 probably 4 viable builds that’s why I have 4 of the RU dds captains above 12 and 2 of them at 16

I tried using this type of build on my Soviet DDs but I just couldn't make it work. I was constantly getting matches with 4+ enemy DDs, most of which were Japanese with less than 5km detection ranges, not to mention radars cruisers. I also kept getting teammates that just sat at the back of the map farming damage which resulted in loss after loss. I really want to like the Soviet DD line, but they just really seem to struggle in the current meta, which is a shame since they offer such a unique play style. Anyway, fantastic game. It shows how effective the Tashkent is when conditions are favorable. Too bad this isn't the case more often than not.

I’ve been able to get consistently decent games with this build even when other DDs are present, but it really cuts down on opportunities to deal this kind of damage

As far as fire spamming gunboat destroyers go, which is more superior. The akizuki or the Tashkent? Just started on the Akizuki line but if this is the better choice, I'll jump to this line instead

The Akizuki is more like the Fletcher than the Tashkent. It has nice ballistics, though. So it’s easier to aim. Has a very very quick rate of fire, more but more numerous guns, and it’s very slow. I think a top speed of 33 to 34 knots. The Akizuki is much better at knife fighting with other DDs than the Tashkent, but the Tashkent is a much better long range gunboat. So I’m not sure there’s really a solid answer that question. Both are gunboat DDs, but they’re also very very different play styles

What does receive 5,000,000 HP if potential damage mean? In the Winter event

I’m not quite sure what the rules are as far as what counts as potential damage. But anytime somehow shoots at you with shells or torpedos and you dodge or angle and take no damage, that’s potential damage. So if a BB hits your BB with a salvo and you’re angled so you bounce all the shells, that’s potential damage.

I did one game last night and I avoided 1000000 potential damage. I’m sure how I did but I did it so basically just over time I figured out you’ll just end up doing it

I think its pretty nasty now after the buff cause gun range increased and torps now go 60knots instead of numbingly slow and 69 sec base reload

Very fun way to play it but it's not easy when you are focused down in a Tashkent it's a speedy boat but it's certainly large for a DD...

Some stuff seems to come back once or twice a year but may change. Like Azur Lane returns but with different commanders and ships than the first time and did they change or just add to the Halloween commanders this year? I didn't really pay attention to them. As for the Transformers, that will greatly depend on the licensing agreement they have with Hasbro, they may come back, we might get different Transformers next time or it was a one time deal.

I assume it would work ok if Trubs was at a higher level. Probably wouldn’t need the Rumble inspiration. And you could always swap out the other for someone like Violette or Vian and have great success

My trub build has William sims and Eric bey I have a 6.0 km detectablity and 12.5 range guns I love that build
