I shouldn’t like this ship, but I do. It’s a challenging play style but rewarding. It’s not really a cap bully, but it can play that role against maybe half of the other destroyers. It can flood a cap with torps though. It’s more of a hit-and-run DD. You gotta pick your engagements. It works best in open water, but you can get creative with islands too. Maps like Sea of Fortune are tough, but Two Brothers or Neighbors are just fine. Get in, drop torps, punch a few hard gun salvos, run, go dark, rinse, repeat. No ppoint in speccing for concealment other than maybe Bey as one inspiration. Go double rudder and dodge shells with your foot on the gas. It’s high-risk, high-reward, but it’s a fun challenge, and a little more forgiving than Kiev at T6.

I've managed 2 get the guns down 2 a decent 6.1 sec reload, last mod I use the gun reload time and the new pan Asia commander knocks off 3.1% off the gun reload all in all it helps the ship out massively, still no Tashkent reload time but it defo helped, my tash is firing at 4 sec

VII Hipper also seems to think the Taskent is better than this ship. Tbh the Kiev is probably better than this one.

She's a good ship, not great. In a div with another DD though, she is a powerhouse. You can bully an entire flank and with your torp/gun combo, it's almost a guaranteed win.

Good breakdown of the pros and cons of this one. The guns are a big disappointment for me 😡 the Kiev' is a better ship I think. Thanks.

Play with randoms all the time. 90% of this community are rejects and sad to say cause wargaming brings the wrong player base to its games.

What if... your leading the Flotilla and start spotting ships... the DD spots you! Then you spot the DD... by now you've gotten close enough to toss 10 fishies in the direction of the initial ships you saw.. you open fire on the DD, putting that agility and sure shot to use, cut back and pop smoke while finally releasing that last set of fishies... all while delivering massive damage, if not killing the DD; you're smoke is taking affect and you pop a repair party. Rinse and repeat.
