As a neighbor from Sweden, I think Poland has come such a long way since ww2. Like in Swedish and Russian history, Sweden and Poland had differences back in the days. But today Sweden and Poland work a lot together in different ways. When Poland wanted to join EU, Sweden was one of the countries who really stood on Polands side, to make it possible for them to join. And a couple of years ago, Poland showed everyone what a good friend and ally they are. We had huge forrest fires in Sweden and Poland literally sent hundreds of fire fighter vehicles with personal to help us. A lot of Swedes went out on the streets to welcome the caravan from Poland when they drove across our country on their way to the fires. You can find videos from that here on youtube. It was a heart warming moment in both our countries history, that a lot of Swedes still talk about. Our countries learned from the past and Poland will always have a good friend in the north. So you do what you need to do and we will have your back. Sweden love you guys! 🇸🇪❤️🇵🇱

Yes, in 1655 Sweden invaded Poland and it was disastrous for our country - it was worse than WW1+WW2 together. 1/3 of polish population was killed back then, art works stolen, heard there are still many in museums and churches in Sweden. But now from what I know we have very good relations between our countries. Also, I have to say, I like Swedish people ..been to Sweden and really like it there:)! Love your hot-dogs with mash potatoes on a top:).
@samuelgustavsson1483Күн бұрын
@ unlike one well known russian dictator, both our countries learned from our history. 😉 Starting a war is never a good solution for anyone, but both our countries wont hesitate to defend our selfs. We call the mashed potatoes ”mos”, pronounced like the english word ”moose”. My friends call me a ”mos”-aholic, because I love ”mos”. 😄 I use a lot of browned butter, milk, salt, white and black pepper a touch of cayenne pepper and a little cream. But if I use ”mos” to fish I often add a little lemon juice, add fresh dill on top of the mos and eat some fresh peas with that. If I use it to meatballs I sometimes add a little grated cheese that melts in the hot ”mos” instead of the cream, eat it together with some crisp bread and lingonberry jam, its great. If I use ”mos” to hot dogs I add some roasted onion to get a little crisp and a little different flavor. Thats some nice ”mos” variations. 😊👍

I have lived and worked in Poland many times; definitely one of my favourite countries. I made friends with many there, and it was interesting talking about their history. They were saying that the Poles are a proud people, but that comes at a price. A joke one of them told me was that a Pole was praying and asked God “Why did you make such a beautiful place, with rivers, lakes and fertile farmland just for us?” And God answered “Wait until you meet your neighbours.” Their history is a rather sad one, at one point their nation was split up three ways between the Prussians, Austro-Hungarian and Russian Empires for centuries. Reborn out of the ashes of the First World War only to be invaded by the Soviet Union within weeks of the guns going silent on the Western Front. They repelled the Soviet aggression in 1920 and enjoyed a 19 year period of uneasy peace. 1939 brought the two front war between the Nazis and the Soviet Union, occupation, Operation Barbarossa, Soviet occupation and Communist rule until 1989. I think they have a right to be a little uneasy. It’s a beautiful country in a bad neighbourhood. I can fully understand their defence spending.

One key takeaway is that Germany cannot be relied upon to be a key weapons supplier to the EU, they have too many restrictions on sale and resale and their production capacity is limited whereas Poland can start offering essentially the gen 4.5 (in aircraft terms) tanks and IFV's without these political shenanigans as a way to recoup costs and keep their skills and industrial base alive without solely relying on domestic orders. They also provide a cost effective alternative to the USA who for many systems has extremely long lead times or the systems they offer are near end of life and are due to be replaced by in development alternatives.

From Korea with ❤. Regarding WW2, we know three things about Poland: (i) you were the first country that actually broke the invincible German Enigma code, as early as 1932; (ii) however, that still did not prevent you from being the first victim and the biggest victim of WW2 by the casualty count; and (iii) that did, however, sow the seed of eventual Allied victory by way of world's greatest tech/information transfer to Blechley Park, in the nick of time, in a Polish forest, giving and telling every knowhow to the cluelessly arrogant Brits. My take from it? You had the genius, zeal, and good heart, but lacked the physical hardware (i.e., weapons), the combined result of which was saving the world ultimately, but not yourself. I think you learned from it and are doing exactly that - getting that crucial physical hardware - so that you can save yourself as well this time, not just the world. We Koreans also know two things from our own experience: (i) the best defense always comes from the defenders' capacity to attack (ever watched Son Heung Min dribbling past German players 80 meters when the German goalie meandered into our land - only this threat should confine them to their zone); and (ii) for deterrence to work, you must overwhelm the enemy and devastate their morale, so that they don't even think of doing anything stupid. You are building exactly to that end, it seems. Poland Fighting! ❤

Poland is aware that it is surrounded by treachery and needs to be able to defend against multiple attacks on multiple fronts and also must do offense. Remember that Poland never surrendered during WW II. While the army was defending against the Blitzkrieg, Russia invaded. The Polish army went to Africa and attacked the Axis there, then fought their way up Italy. The Polish air forces defended Dunkirk and the UK. It was evil for the US and UK to award Poland to the USSR as a prize for having started the war by invading Poland

Sir,may I have the honour to respond? Churchill only had one demand for Stalin, and that was for free elections in Poland after the war. Stalin always said “yes” until the red army occupied Poland and he then installed his own government. We weren’t helped by the USA because Roosevelt thought keeping Stalin happy was more important than Polands liberty. Roosevelt was desperate for Stalin to join the war against Japan, but that is no excuse. We British were horrified by Polands fate as we had fought side by side with Poles since the start of the war. The best fighter pilots in the RAF were the two Polish squadrons, we remember the Polish victory at Monte Cassino, the destruction of the Germans at the Falaise Pocket and General Sosabowskis paratroopers rescuing our paratroopers at Arnhem. My country owes Poland a debt of honour that is too big to ever be repaid,but I believe we will stand with Poland forever. God bless Poland from 🇬🇧

I really appreciate the humor dude. So many channels of this nature are either 100% doom and gloom, or too much an internet "meme" (I hate even saying that word I think it sucks just as bad as "selfie" lol) but the way you just add a funny comment here and there is nice. Most channels are like anxiety causing after awhile, seriously, the music alone is literally anxiety inducing music. As a musician it drives me insane, why pick music that was made to feel tense, it doesn't exactly give your viewers are a nice experience. It's quite literally designed to have you on edge, and I fully know the power of it, it's my job. So thanks for NOT doing that my man, I'll be here

As a West German I'm surprised this East German still believing in Russian military crushing propaganda hasn't heard of Finland's 900.000 troops having prepared for total war, nuclear war and nuclear winter war for the last 80 years. Other NATO member countries have no underground cities, bases and production facilities, and no plans for the time after nuclear war. Russia is a complete joke.

Great video. One note: 70k personnel is just for land forces and just for actuall combat personnel. In total it's about 115k. And if you add air forces, navy, special forces etc (without 35-40k Territorial Defense) it's about 180k. Still a long way to go to reach that 300k. Honestly I think we'll settle on 250k active and 50k reserve. Plus about 45k Territorial Defense. Cheers!

I've held for a while that Poland has surpassed Germany in the role of "protector of Europe". For far too long, Germany has neglected their military for decades due to some weird echoing blowback from the time of the Nazis. Meanwhile Poland has looked at their past and went "We will never be a speedbump to anyone ever again." And I'm fully behind it. If anyone was to try and invade Poland, we need to be there, in person, to fight side by side with them. Not only are the Poles responsible for helping to save Western Civilization as we know it from the Ottomans during the Siege of Vienna in 1683, the Poles were here, helping us fight to win our independence. We're honor bound, regardless of any commitment to NATO, to return the favor and help them fight to keep theirs, if the need was to arise. In fact, all that aid money needs to stop at the border. Poland should be the one getting it. And instead of retiring our F-22s, as the Air Force has proposed, they should be given to Poland. If we don't want them, give them to someone who can use them.
@erisium69887 ай бұрын
With the history of Germany its propably a good thing, and saying this country is a good idea to be a Europe protector then they tried so many times to conquer it, is ironic.

Not many people know that it was Russian and Germany together that started WW2 in September 1939, they had a secret pact. In fact, it is Russia that has done the most evil over the last few hundred years, by far much more than the Nazis. And they continue to this day, it seems to be in the Russian genes to be evil.
